Well, I've been playing Minecraft for awhile now, on my 15 inch macbook pro, and recently I've decided to download some texture packs. I managed to get the files to show up in the texture section of my game, but...
It doesn't seem to work D:
If they're high resolution then it's possible your...Mac, is slow and it takes a while to get the icon to display. That happened on my slower computer but it appeared after a minute. It is more likely however that the image is missing.
That just means the pack.png is missing :wink.gif:

That may just be a symptom of not having the pack loading at all.
#1 mistake with texture packs is having a folder at the top level of the .zip
If you zipped the packs up yourself while trying to install them then this is likely your problem.
When you open the zip you should see this:
terrain.png
pack.png
pack.txt
etc.
Not this:
/packname

Not quite sure I understand, I'm pretty much mentally challenged when it comes to computers.
When I open the zip, I get the original folder I downloaded with everything inside it....

THe files show up in my game, in the texture pack area, as shown in this screenshot;

But I'm lost as to how to make the textures show up when I'm actually playing....
Any help would be appreciated, thanks!
