I've been mulling over this idea for a while now... what if there was a texture pack that made everything look like a hologram? Like so
I was bored last night so I started messing around with the terrain file. I scrapped the idea of having lines on everything because it doesn't really look like a hologram if it doesn't flicker and isn't somewhat translucent. But I REALLY loved how it looked on the breaking animation!
You just have to see it in action to really appreciate it... I decided it would be a high quality hologram and everything appeared to be real, it was just slightly off...

And when you try to break a block, the hologram glitches out! Maybe even get rid of the cracks as well. If only the same thing could be done with mobs when you hit them...
Water and lava could 'glitch' occasionally!
So I am already working on a texture pack and don't have time for another project... if anyone would like to continue this further or just base a new pack off this idea please do! (just give me credit for the idea) Or I would LOVE to see some kind of mod that made stuff look like a hologram... O_o

I just did a hue/saturation adjustment layer with the following settings
Hue: -13
Saturation: -40
Lightness: 0
Do you guys need me to record a video of the breaking animation? I might do that tomorrow
