This is my first texture pack, and since I'm not very good at pixel art, I decided to go the other direction, and I like the way this turned out- enjoy.
Notice: I realize that there are a TON of of other packs like this, and that is it does indeed look like not a lot of work went into it. And I may have not spent HOURS on a single block like other packs, but this isn't "quick" or "thoughtless." Also, I know this look isn't for everyone, I personally don't like packs that try to cram as many pixels into the screen as possible, and I just like they way this one looks. If you don't like it, don't complain please.
If you use MC Patcher, you will have custom lava/water!

Of all the simple tex packs out there, I chose this one. The only thing that doesn't seem to work is the saplings. Try a circle instead of a square. :wink.gif:
Hm, ill take a look at changing the saplings and creeper faces, thanks for that!
Also, yes, it is a "quick" pack. Like I said before, I cant pixel worth anything, so this was the only thing I could think of, and I actually like it quite a bit. Its not for everyone, just keep that in mind. Think of it more of a "smooth" rather than "simple" pack...
And, hopefully later today ill have the next version up, I finally got around to doing the items, and updated the water and lava textures if you have MCpatcher.
its okay but the simple pack i have now i better, except the difference between gravel and cobblestone is almost no different. No big deal though. The one im using has a better design for minerals though making it easier to differ from other similar colored minerals. Im color blind btw.

But here's the thing though: Say, a simple texture pack is like a stickman. When done right, it can be beautiful with stuff from, say, StickPage.com
But a crappy badly drawn stickman would be one of those "my first tex packs" that really, if you were to convert it to a badly drawn stickman, nobody would be impressed with.
So the big reason for the hate is because... Basically... They are just plain badly drawn.
I'm not arguing with you there, but when people just say "oh, another simple pack" or "put some work into it" or "this looks just like a ton of other texture packs" it's pointless, rude, and unhelpful.

First he makes a Portal 2 joke (which personally I find annoying, as one of the reasons I didn't want anything to do with the first game was because of references and "jokes" such as these), then he just says that there are other simple texture packs. Does this have a point? No. Is it helpful? No. Is it rude? Yes.

But yeah, some people are just grumpy because we see about 10 packs like this a day.
