Okay based on the positive feedback I guess I will turn this into a bigger project. Im startin on banners and a logo. Anyway I am completely new to all image editing and this is my first shot. I love minecraft so I decided to start learning by making a texture pack. Keep in mind that I am a novice at image editing and this is my first attempt. Please leave an feedback below. Please comment I'm dying for criticism!
The idea behind this pack is to keep is simple, but also to create a sense of contrast with the blocks. Hence why sand is so bright and water so pale. Everything is still in progress and nothing is final. I would love to hear what you have to say so comment below! Also if anyone can tell me how to edit the particles that come out of redstone or change the grass color it would be much appreciated!
Green Stone - Has problems because red particles come off the line
Room - Shows wood, water, torches, and sand
Walkway Up to Storage Room - Shows cobblestone, ladders, dirt/grass, and wood. Cant figure out how to edit top of the grass. Help would be much appreciated!
Storage Room - Shows wood, and basic storage chests. Yet to work on the crafting tables
Giant Tower - Made with stone and glass
Giant Lake - Mostly to show water
Grass Texture - New
Ores - GreenStone (aka RedStone), Gold, Iron, and Coal
That's not a problem, he's just using the better grass mod that makes the top grass texture show on for sidegrass when there's a top grass block below it. The blocks you circled have sand below them, thus making them use the normal texture.
Tank has pointed out the interesting. There seems to be a problem with your sides of the grass block. You should check on it. :smile.gif:
oh I see what it is now... if you notice the block I circled and the other one down and slightly to the left, you will notice that those blocks have no side grass because it is on a sand block... if you could fix that somewhat this would be one of my fave packs of minecraft as of now lol soo+ 10000 :biggrin.gif:

Awesome no clue you guys would like it! Haha. I'll try to work on that grass although I don't have a mod installed for the better grass. That issue just started. I'll get on it! Banners are going up soon so keep checking back on this thread!

I'm thinking maybe I'll change it to Contrast Craft but the name is kinda pointless, yes. It was just a temporary.

nice!!! thats what I was looking foward to! Did you manage to somehow fix the grass yet? As long as you release it IDC about the grass... worry about that later. This is by far the most looked foward to texture pack to me EVER lol take your time you deserve infinite

but as of right now its great most likely my perm texture pack the only thing i ask is that the gravel be changed because it looks like default... which im guessing it is but other wise

so if I delete it off of texturepacks and redownload it will it change the name?
oh and btw is the water animation fixed? or are you doing all the other textures first?
