Alright guys, here it is, my first texture pack for minecraft, hope you like it. If anyone of you got suggestions concerning the design or the items itself please let me know, I'm open for anything.
You will NEED the newest Version of MC PATCHER Installed on your computer or this texture pack WILL NOT WORK. MC Patcher
After installing MC PATCHER simply copy the Texture pack into your .minecraft\texturepacks folder and startup the game.
If you intend on using Wildgrass or GLSL Shaders, now would be the time to go to their forum thread, download the files needed and install those.
Go to the mods menu and chose the "Beauty of reality" pack. ATTENTION: Your minecraft might freeze up for about 5 seconds, this is because the texture pack includes a load of big sized images.
Since I've already received a few PMs concerning the release date.
I'd normally say "when its done" in situations like these, but since theres quite a few people already asking for it, I'm going to post a version with the existing items tonight (meaning in about 8 hours).
Cool, but the grass looks a bit weird on the sides.
I'm using the mod "Better grass" to duplicate the grass's top texture on the sides if there's another grass block beneath it, if thats what u mean. Otherwise I couldnt think of what you mean by weird :biggrin.gif:

edit1: rapidshare and hotfile are horrible... how about a mediafire or dropbox link.
edit2: finally got to checking it out... the wood is really warped...dunno if that was on purpose...and somehow the flowing water moves backwards... other than that very nice job! it's a little too grainy for my tastes.. but I like it
The bookcases, chests, workbench, and jukebox are superb! Amazing work on those...the item icons are great too, lots of detailed stuff.
I don't care for the plank texture, incl. all the things made from it. I don't like the blotchy colors, it's too cedar-ish, and it doesn't tile well, it's too obvious.
On the 128x pack at least, I think something is wrong with the jack-o-lantern face, it seems to be missing the bottom part of the mouth.
I can't quite figure out what you are going for with the torches, they look a bit too much like cigarettes, lol.
Keep up the good work, this one is going to be fantastic.

My minecraft just turns off when i try to run it and i have 64x HD installed because i was using a 64x before i was trying this but this one doesnt seem to work
Did you try running it with a fresh installation (with MC Patcher applied) or with a modded one? Never heard of it just closing without any reason.
This is what the 128x Jack o' Lantern looks like (even with the 1.3 update) Is it supposed to look like that? I just thought maybe it should have a complete smile. It kind of looks like the whole face just needs to be shrunk a little so the bottom of the smile isn't clipped off.
I really like the new torches, though. Still not completely in love with the plank texture, but it is a big improvement.
I still can't get over how good everything looks, the cobblestone, the sandstone, the netherrack, the cactus, the tree bark, chests, doors...etc...

If anyone of you got a suggestion about additional filehosts to host the file on please let me know, I only got a rapidshare premium account though.
