I have created a new texture pack. I have followed every tutorials on many web sites including this one. The terrain.png, pack.png and particules.png works fine but, all others that are in a folder such as armor or gui, (that I edited or not) does not work. They are broken. They are replaced by the default one. Why!?
I have tried to edit with the minecraft.jar, with minecrafter texture, with the painterly texture… same things. Yes, I have use a transparency editing programme (Photoshop) May be I have a corrupted zip system.
One said that may be it's all about 1.5_01 but, the texture pack work well untouched on this version.
Even if your eyes burns to have read this to many times PLEAS help me.
Have you tried patching your pack in?
In most cases you only need to have the zip in the "texturepacks" folder but sometimes some **** just doesn't work.
Try downloading MCPatcher and having it manually patch your game. Maybe it will work then?
It doesn't really FIX your problem but it should get your art to work for you, at least.

A MCPatche, lol I tried that too but, it's a 16x16 pack edited with 16x16 stuff. I know we just need to have the zip in the "texturepacks" folder so I guess it's more like some **** just doesn't work. lol :sleep.gif:

Do what i did, get a default texture pack download then replace everything with your files that way theres no possible way you can mis name a file or folder and not have them show up
Where do you download a default texture pack? If you talking about the minecraft.jar, I already tried that many times. I dont believe I missed something. Is there any protection device in the those folder or what!?
It probably basically comes down to one thing: You're doing it wrong.
Upload the file and I'll look if I can fix it.
Off cours I'm doing something wrong ;P
Thank you but, I'm not home so it won't be for today. I'll remember you name or...your... rainbow pop tart flying cat... cute
OH MY GOD!!! I have solved the darn problem. I use to have IZArc as zip programme. By looking to some tutorial on Youtube, I realized that there were something I couldn’t do with the folder. I have downloaded 7-zip and OH IT’S ALIVE!!!!! Now my texture pack fully function!
