I hope i'm in the right place, the general support seemed to be the wrong place for this sort of modding, so i'm posting here!
Anyway, for a while now I have provided my small server with a texture pack for their general use. I have not released it here because it's a simple mash-up of 10 or more packs (with some of my own additions as well.) I was wondering if someone could help me out, at any rate, as i'm having some trouble with it...
Basically this pack works PERFECTLY on all mac computers, but completely fails to load on pc's. I am just stumped at what may be causing this, and I can only imagine the problem resides in mixing the 16, 32, and 64 sized textures in some of the areas (for instance the moon is 64, the sun is 32, and my mobs are 16.) Mac seems to handle this just fine, and this is what I use, but pc's seem to not understand something having to do with the package.
It's not packaged right...at least for windows users. The pack for the PC must be a zip file with the contents (inside the folder in your zip) inside the zip.

Hmm, yes I noticed this... one file is named "MAC_OS" and I have NO idea why... I am zipping it with the standard mac program and there is absolutely not 2 folders when I do so (and on a mac, you never see it - it's only on PC's that shows up.)
...that being said I did attempt to unzip using a pc, then deleted all extra files and re-zipped and nothing worked still. There seems to be something more to blame here than the packaging job.
hmm...well, I was using winrar if that helps narrow down the why's. I was able to extract both folders and they were actually a lot different in structure. The way Mac handles the files vs PC. If you notice the pic I showed, on a PC that's the way they have to be in the zip. And your PC version is all fine inside that folder in the zip.
Might be more work, but you could either make two separate downloads for them to use, or make two zip files and just put the PC zip inside of the Mac zip with instructions for them to extract the PC version before use?

So anyone using a mac and trying to make texture packs wont be able to do it by default... i've tried taking a working pack, and unzipping it, and then zipping it with a application MADE TO ZIP THEM FOR PC's and it still fails. The automatic compression tool is definitely fail, but i'm pretty lost here... Is there a special program mac users must procure to make this happen?
This all seems like a bad joke either way, as mac's are pretty much only good for creative professionals, and this is by far a creative medium... So rediculous...
what about puting the raw files on a thumb drive, getting them on the PC and having IT do the ziping?
I'm kinda shooting in the dark with this as i don't have the slightest clue how macs handle files.

Here is a link to my pack and the download, I really do appreciate any help people can give me!
