I just wanted to say, this texture pack is great! If I could ever get my computer to get decent FPS without the F3 key, I'm definitely going to use this.
Updated for 1.6.4! Important: Make sure if you haven't already, re-download McPatcher, it just got updated to 2.1.0 and the old version won't work with Beta 1.6 and above
Thanks everyone for the positive feedback! Over 1000 downloads at the moment!
Sorry for the lack of updates, I've been a little lazy. This gets really monotonous after a while. Almost done with the terrain though!
Added:
TNT
Spawner
Wood Door
Hatch
Torch
Redstone Torches
Lever
Iron Block
Gold Block
Diamond Block
Lapis Lazuli Block
Tall Grass
Fern
Dead Sapling
Altered:
Made Sandstone more yellow so it matches with sand better and no longer clashes horribly with glowstone
Picture of the ore blocks
Wood Double Doors, Torches, and recolored Sandstone
Notes: I wanted to put hinges and a handle on the trapdoor but the texture does not align with how it is placed, like a door is. So it looks really bad and I just went with the chest top/bottom texture. Hope nobody minds and if notch makes these work correctly I'll put the hinges and handle back on
I couldn't find ferns anywhere to test the texture out but I think it looks fine
The diamond block looks a bit plastic-y and it's bothering me a bit
Tall Grass does not align properly, but this is a bug in the game and there's nothing I can do about it
On topic, this is an AMAZING pack. Like everyone else, LOVE your planks, best I've seen yet! The only issue I have is it seems my water animation (flowing) is a little fast. My fountains are crazy lol! Thanks for sharing your talents!
Yeah I know what you mean about the water. I wanted it to flow at a realistic speed, and it looks great on big waterfalls but in some situations it does look a bit strange. I might make a slower alternate animation if people want it. Thanks for the feedback.
Lovin the pack bro, But I feel the Lapis block looks a little too much like legos. Also, the ores are a little...I don't know, Round I guess? Otherwise, I'm loving the new update, keep it up.

And I can't really find anything wrong with the ores, except maybe the placement. Diamond could certainly be improved a lot. Gold and Iron I'm not changing, but the others I might revise. I still don't really get what you're saying. Do you want the ores to have hard edges? They blend into the rock better with soft edges, imo.
Very nice texturepack!
One thing i would like to see changed is the lightstone.
It looks a bit too cubic, it should look more natural.
yet a very nice texturepack, and very good for a first time.
i also like the banner.
It does have a natural texture if you get up close.
Here's the thing, there are people who like glowstone to look natural, and those who like it to look ornamental for building. (some texture packs it looks totally manmade and really strange in the nether) I tried to do a compromise, with like a paper lantern-type look.
I should just say guys, for future reference, I prioritize making new textures over revising old ones, otherwise this would take way too long to get done. That doesn't mean I'm ignoring your suggestions or anything but it might take a while for me to make tweaks. I'm just going with whatever I feel is good, but my opinions can certainly change over time though and your opinions are helpful.
Thanks again to everyone for your feedback and support :smile.gif: New update in a week or so maybe? (will finish terrain!)
Finished the iron door. It happens to line up almost perfectly with the sandstone (a total accident!)
Hopefully it doesn't look too much like stone, I made it to match the iron block

ill start off by saying excellent work! loving the unique textures... however im not sure they work well in any situation, which might make some buildings less attractive. But still a very decent texture pack.. definalty worth continuing :smile.gif: i approve
I think maybe you should make the waves on your sand more straight, as that large waves just tend to make it look cartoony . . . or a smooth sand texture (I live in a desert so I'm kinda picky to how the desert environments look.) Your cacti is insanely awesome though!
Absolutley LOVE the iron doors, and your cactus is amazing, better then some 256x packs I have seen. Diamonds for you sir
Although the glass kind of bothers me, too busy.
Also the ore blocks look awesome, but a suggestion for the Lapis Lazuli Block, try with fewer tiles, it may look less Lego...y as Tal said. But otherwise, Great Job!!
Some of the textures are kind of rough as I admit they were rushed because I was excited about finishing the terrain. I'm finding it hard to focus on detail with the same level of intensity as when I started, but that's NOT to say I feel burned out. Maybe I should take a bit of a break though.
Next update will be a few more items, but mainly fixing some long procrastinated issues (like the LAVA) as well as some better flowing water, and maybe some environment textures such as the sun and moon, and rain. Probably not that impressive of an update but a much more polished one than this one, and very necessary. Stay posted :smile.gif:
I found out the file hosting site I've been using, Speedyshare, deletes my files after a month I think, unless I register at the ludicrous price of $6 a month. I'll be using Mediafire from now on, unless I can find something better that has good file management and download tracking. Recommendations?
I also might be using adf.ly soon as I have gotten to 3000 DOWNLOADS GUYS, OMG, and I feel like I'm missing out because everyone else is doing it >> Sorry! I'm poor lol, I hate ads as much as the next guy but I kind of have to do it. I might add a Paypal donation button too but I'm not sure how to embed it, could anyone help me who has done it before? I don't really like asking for money but I did put a lot of hard work into this. I'm curious to see if anyone would actually donate...
...that was molded into an angelic statue, dipped in gold, and then again into platinum, blessed by the noblest of gods, and then mounted on a diamond pedestal. :biggrin.gif:
YES! I shall use this! And I shall use it with awesomeness!
Now I think this is a rival to one of my favorite texture packs called painterly. I don't think you should change the lava I think it's great. I'm going to try it and see what it looks like when I'm playing it. Keep up the good work!

Added a mediafire mirror in the OP. Didn't bother with the archived versions though
Fave Skinners: camo7, TheKibbleMeister
I wanted the Lapis to look like tiles, but yeah I kind of rushed it and whatever. I couldn't decide between that and something more realistic like this
http://t3.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcQtz3Hht2k7u4ulu8CEOarO719pjeOXqgeznVtLAErGrQx2IIYb
I'll try that look with the same border as the other ones

How do these ladders look? I thought they needed nails.

Did you download the latest version? I just changed it in the last update
