This is the default Minecraft, but decayed. It's is best used on a world where you've already done some building as it is essentially showing what your world would look like after years of neglect. Mould grows on your furniture and food, iron is rusted over. Your torches have burnt out, only their embers light the way. The entire world is decaying.
No pics, because 1), It's not much different yet completly changes the default textures and you get a better experience from playing it yourself. 2), I don't actually care if not very many people download it, it's only a side pack of mine.
My origonal idea came out of checking out the Jungle and Ruins pack which was neither jungley nor ruiny. So I decided I could do better. It was origonally going to drastically change many of the textures, but during development I felt it worked very well as it was. Every texture is changed, but it's mostly just recolouring and shading. If you think there is some changes that could be made just post 'em here, but as I said, it's only a side pack of mine.
It is well worth it, if only for the novelty of exploring your worlds over again.
UPDATE: I have updated all the essentials to 1.9 PR4 (as such it is compatable with 1.0.0). I have also done some paintings and they look sweet. I also have fix'd the hunger bar and such. If anyone finds bits I've missed just post it here and thank you to those who have helped already.
Because YOU asked for it, here's a banner thingy to put in your signature.
I think you just put the code in your signature. It's a bit big, I probably should change that. Fix'd.
If anyone wants to use this texture pack or bits of it you are very much welcome to provided you put a link back to this thread in your credits. This includes remixes, mix-and-matches, survival maps and whatever else.
Yeah, I know of the importance of pictures (check my 40k pack im my sig and you'll see gazzillions of pics), but this is my easygoing pack. I'll do one, becuase I just had an idea. But I don't really want to put much effort into putting this pack out (I do put effort into making the pack though).
Oh and you're welcome to make a video if you want to but I wouldn't think it worth it.
Although the changes are subtle from default, it still looks awesome :smile.gif:
It's quite interesting when combined with the texture pack patcher too! (no water or fire! possibly lava too!)
I don't use the texture pack patcher myself, but if I did water would be a green-blue (not green) and lava would be near hardened but still glowing. But I don't use anything that changes the files around. I'll fix that problem though.
Ive tested it and it is pretty good! Could you make custom Texture's instead of the default. Possibly a doku texture pack but all decayed. And paintings that look like vines creeping down a wall. That would be a download form me!
Right, I see that people use the patcher a lot. Next update (probably next Mincraft update) will change those. Never fear, there is water, but only if you aren't using the patcher like me. Again, I'm not familiar with the patcher but is there an option to not patch water in but leave it as the default?
Could you make a download off a different site? Cause mediafire is blocked on my computer :sad.gif: and this pack looks pretty good for what I'm looking for.
This pack looks very interesting.
If not for the lack of pictures (and the apparent lack of patcher-support), I would download and install this; instantly.
Take a look at some of the ideas:
Vines, instead of pictures.
Custom water and lava. Semi-rotten creatures.
Steve with ragged clothing.
Withered flowers, and leaves.
Italian writing indicating that these are ideas made by me.
It would also be nice to see some mod support, e.g. Wild Grass and BetterGlass support. Just throwing that in there, you know.
Looking forward to seeing this develop!

AVATAR, PHOTO AND SKIN AT THE COURTESY OF WHISKERS
I love how just a few minor changes to the blocks can change the entire mood of the game. This was an excellent idea, and I'm glad I downloaded it. These are for you.
Edit: Make a banner for this. It needs to be advertised!
This is excellent. My new favorite pack!! The only problem I have is with the torches. I still think they should be normal. Could you upload a pack with the regular torches please!?
BOOM, update. I have put in pistons, shears, fix'd the cake and beds and best of all have reskinned the lava and water for those of you who use a patcher (I'm still not using the patcher, I just resized it to 32x and the unpatched glitchines took care of the rest).
I despaired a little when it came to doing the lava, there were many failed attempts. But in the end I just used my bedrock texture from another pack and it is good.
Also, I have redone the grass so it makes use of the new biome stuff.
Also also, haven't done fire yet, d'oh. When I've don't it I'll reupload.
Well I updated from 1.7 to 1.9 Pre-release 3. I am quite happy with this update, mainly because I remembered what I'm doing. I was very tempted to do some more drastic changes, making Endermen some kind of sentient mould avatar or something. Also, am I the only one disappointed that the villagers are not wearing hoods?
One question, is there anyway to remove the gradient that is put over the menu background. It might look nice on a nice sunny pack but on mine it appears like a big light patch. Still, very happy with the background, what sums up this pack better than a mouldy library covered in spiderwebs?

Left, normal. Right, decayed.

Tastes better, Nuff Said.

Alrighty, here's a bright torch pic. Just be sure to rename it 'terrain' and to put it in the zip replacing the other terrain.png
Oh and remember to 'save' it, not just copy from this page, otherwise you won't get the transparency.
