I don't think its possible to create animated custom fires.

As of today, you can actually. It's two seperate files, North/south fires and east/west fires.

im just looking for a template of the files i can edit, cause im no good at pixel art, and i just want to change the fire colour

I've been wondering this myself. I've seen a few tutorials here and there for custom fire, but I still don't know exactly what dimensions to make the png file or what folder to place them into. I'd love to replace the strange fire of my pack with searing acid.
