ok so i was planing on making a complete texture pack. can anybody give me ideas. it will ethier be 16x or 36x so if i find a good idea i will credit you.

I'm sorry - I hadn't realized you were entitled to a special exception here. If you want to be taken seriously and respected by the texturing community and players, it starts by respecting them. The rules are part of that.
People are bound to wonder what business someone has making a texture pack when they don't even know how to post a screenshot. And they might wonder how legitimate your initial post is without it, especially considering you just got here. Seems to me like you're just harvesting email addresses.
Learn to co-operate with the way things are done around here and you'll find that we're pretty supportive.
What makes me a "hypocrite"? Do you understand the meaning of the word?
In case you don't notice, I spend a good amount of my own time helping people around here when they cannot get texture packs working correctly. It's not too much to ask for everyone else to do their part arouind here.
A thread in this forum without screensots and a download link is simply in the wrong section - and that means it's harder for players to find real material and harder for those of us who help to find issues that need attention.
What have you done for the community? Put up or shut up, as they say.

WoW... This is what I have been searching for for ages. I hate the minecraft glass and cobblestone, This has made it better for me. Now I dont have to waste any coal or charcoal on smelting it.
Also, for the texture pack, maybe change things to look more modern. Your glass looks like it would fit a modern house very well. So make maybe the wood, a little darker, and smoother, so not any dots on the wood.
You could make it so bookcases can come in different sizes, so once places together sideways, it come up joined, so instead of the dividing line, it just continues with books.
Also, add completely new decorative blocks to look like household items. So you could make a furnace, but using iron instead of your new stone, and glass in the middle, to make an oven. the oven could cook FOOD x2 faster. But if you were to place stone or something in it, it would go at a normal rate.
Just simple things like this, and you could make a modernised TP that I ,and i'm sure others would too, use.
I also know never to start a sentence with 'But', but its a forum, who really cares.

See i could make it look modern but i think other people already made something like it.... ill give it a go. but like he said, i cant change the burn rates or make the book shelves act in a differant form. but thanks! ill get to it right away!
Don't presume to tell me what I should and shouldn't do. It's for the sake of people like you that the rules apply - otherwise, I'd be tempted to tell you what I really think of you.
Once upon a time, this section was pretty orderly - then the moderators took a vacation. Next thing we know, there are people stealing other people's work without permission or credit, Painterly threads aplenty, and topics like this one where the OP is fine with what I said, but people like you feel a need to fly into a nerd rage. You've contributed so much to the forums - sadly, most of that has been with your silence. Keep up the good work.

Pleasure to meet you. Yes, Glimmar is a colleague of mine, but I'm not so much an artist as a technician. I'm more oriented to helping other people get things working, I guess. I wish I had his artistic abilities.
But I do agree that this forum needs better moderation. I'm not sure I'd be a good choice - if people think I'm a "horrible person" now, they'd fear to learn how horrible I'd be with authority on my side. :smile.gif:

sorry people, i lost my texture pack in the pages of this thread. i am now going to work on the pack. the download is not updated so you wont see my new texture pack yet
