Update: SubtleCraft 2.3 is Minecraft 1.5.1 compatible!
It has been such a long time since I've updated and gee I'm pretty sorry about that! The main reason was that I didn't play Minecraft any more. Recently I've got back into it so expect some more regular updates.
I've decided to have a go at creating a texture pack, so here goes! It is subtly different from the original Minecraft texture, with a few big changes. You'll want to use cobblestone more! The sand is so wavy and sparkly, you could almost rub your toes in it...Here we have an overview of the blocks:
INSTALLING INSTRUCTIONS
Without custom water:
1. Download the pack.
2. Open Minecraft and select "Mods and Texture Packs"
3. Select "Open Texture Pack Folder"
4. Paste your copy of SubtleCraft in here
5. Activate and enjoy!
With custom water:
1. Download MCPatcher, install and run.
2. Make sure you select "HD Textures"!
3. Follow steps 1-5 above.

Well... I certainly do like the cobblestone... Vanilla mobs or not?
I might post some in-game pictures when I get back to my computer.
EDIT----
Reviewed that picture MULTIPLE TIMES and realised I liked most of the textures.
PROS: Nice cobble, Nice Obsidian, Awesome ores, Most textures are good
CONS: Default Water + Portal?
I love the ores! But the bed looks a little weird... I would take that light brown thing off the bottom and just make it all blue. Other than that it looks great!

Currently all mobs are vanilla except for the pigs. I'll get around to it. :smile.gif:
Updated my post :s
Cheers :smile.gif: I'm a little bit noob and I'm yet to try and figure out how to change the portal/water animations, as much as I want to. From what I've read up on so far they're a modded thing. I'll definitely look into it.

Modded? Not really, Just two png's. Go check out a finished 16x texture pack, And look at the files in there, Notch certainly made the names pretty easy to remember :biggrin.gif:
Nice pack, I will support this with my word. And I might help :s

Time over there? 7AM here, Been up all night. I hate day. HISS.
IMAGE GAAAALOOORRRREEEE
My opinions:
1.
Review of 1: The wood looks like it was smushed together, then had motion blur added.
2.
Review of 2: For some reason, Either the dirt has too much noise, or the wood is too blurry
3.
Review of 3: I realize you are noob at this, But I hope to see a custom break animation. TIP: Its the bottom left of terrain.png
4.
Review of 4: Meh, In the middle.
5.
Review of 5: More work than the wood atleast..?
6.
Review of 6: Pretty thin, Is that what your tree's will look like?
7.
Review of 7: Custom Crosshair, Nice..
8.
Review of 8: I can see the bedrock, and I'm still mind****ed as to how it relates to that
9.
Review of 9: Thought it was a potion at first, I didn't realize it was a porkchop
10.
Review of 10: Looks like a re-color of vanilla wool (default wool), Not a good texture choice for woo-stone
11.
Review of 11: I like the coal.
12.
Review of 12: I don't know what to say about that gravel..
13.
Review of 13: Why does the clay look like the sand..?
14.
Review of 14: Cool workbench.
15.
Review of 15: For some reason, I love that shovel! AND THAT IS MY IMAGE GALORE/OPINION OF THIS PACK I did not mean to be a ****, if I am, I'm sorry. I only want to help this texture pack.
Your friendly neighborhood Kingpin here...
This pack has quite the charming personality. I didnt think i would get into it from just reading the title, and most of the time when packs are just variations on the default textures, they dont really stand out imho. Looking at your screens and the ones posted by Pazaz, i gotta say i really like the GUI and 'action bar'. Keep up the great work. This one is getting bookmarked.

Ironically, this was posted only 2 days after mine...
I count 1, And I don't think he did.
I do see the name similarities though.
Bother bother! I thought I searched enough for similar names...I'm sorry. :sad.gif:
Thank you for your review! It helps to see what other people think. Mmmm, woo-stone. Needs more work, yeah.
If you need any help, Just ask. I'll be of great use ;P
One more tip:
There are alot of 16x packs, What separates yours from theirs?
Make it special.
Anyways, Armor isn't hard, Depending on how much quality you want.
