My friend came up with a good idea, how about someone makes a youtube channel just for showing off texture packs?
Like they judge it on everything what the Pros and Cons are.
And then they open a thread for people to submit what they think about the texture packs.
The fans of this youtube channel could ask the tester to do a texture pack?
This has probably been done already but it would help a lot of people out with figuring out what kind of Texture Pack they are looking for.
Just throwing idea's out because I am having a hard time finding Textures I want
So instead of making threads about each person's texture pack and having discussion there, you want them to make a youtube video of their texture pack so they can discuss it on youtube then make a thread about their texture pack and then further discuss it there. And this would help out because people know how to youtube but cannot look at images in the first post of a thread.

Stop me if I'm wrong.
Wrong idea, you keep the thread you can discuss it and all that. But for the people who are getting into texture packs wouldn't want to go around the whole Texture Pack category of the forum just to find a texture the like, sure there is a Texture Pack Shop that everyone is grateful for but how do most people find out about textures? Youtube, and with that logic hell you could Search "JohnSmith Minecraft Texture Pack" And if this channel existed it would lead to it, and by leading them to the channel they would lead them to more and more textures with the links to all of them in the Description. When I first got into texture packs I had to search for hours to find one I actually liked, then I found one on youtube that I LOVED. So instead of searching forums looking for the one you want why not watch a video not even 5 minutes long, then get directed to that Texture Pack in the description and have everyone on the forum discuss so they person who just found out would know something the tester missed. Get my point? And maybe that person who just searched the "JohnSmith Texture Pack" would make an awesome Texture Pack. That is my point.
And they do it for SEEDS, so don't flame me for posting this. With you saying they can already search the forums site for it I can search Minecraft Seeds on youtube and a lot of ones will come up with a poll or the forum linked in the description.

I completely understood you; you like clicking on images rather than clicking on text. What you're suggesting is like shopping for clothes from a magazine when you are already in the store. Instead of going straight to the source which already has images of the texture pack you want to watch a video of it on youtube. Sifting through forum threads is the same thing as sifting through youtube videos. You went through hours of threads and didnt find anything you liked? You can also watch hours of videos and not find anything you like. The medium used to find it makes no difference but why search there when you can search at the origin.

or with that logic you could use google and search "JohnSmith Minecraft Texture Pack", hell I bet your search bar on the top right of your browser will lead you right to the forum thread with download links and pictures and skip having to go to a channel.
But that's how everything 'new' is on the internet these days. I'm not stopping you, hell it would probably work. I'm just telling you my opinion on it.
