How to join:
Go to http://www.Esper.net
Click on "Chat Now"
Type in #MCtexturepacks
Press "Connect"
Type in a username.
Then press Ok, and it should connect you to the channel!
It is also possible to get help with the MC Patcher in this channel, so do not be afraid to ask about patcher related questions.
TeamViewer is also recommended, as it makes it a lot easier to help.

Uhh... I dont understand. I was just agreeing with you.
Honestly though...I'd love to see an open Mumble server for this instead. I type enough here..and never can get myself to join an IRC, let alone even install the stuff to do so
