I have made my own texture pack, and since it is my first, as you could guess... it won't work. All I really did was get the original pictures from minecraft.jar, tweak it, compress it into a .zip, put it in the texturepack file, and I expected it to work! But it obviously doesn't... so please help!

Try using Winrar, 7zip, etc, to open minecraft jar and directly copy paste in your modified .png files.
