Update! I've added bedrock, iron/gold/diamond blocks, gravel, sand, and all the saplings. I've also edited the trees, and the blocks now break in a swirl pattern http://i.imgur.com/2Qtuz.png http://i.imgur.com/zogua.jpg http://i.imgur.com/jWUSy.png
I assume more people will post when I'm done with all the blocks and get a download going, but please reply with opinions and suggestions, and if you'd use this type of texture pack. Thanks.
I like where it's going, but you should make some of the textures blend better. For instance, try using a lighter shade of grey for the spirals on cobblestone, and similarly for other textures. This makes it a lot easier on the eyes.

After looking at it, I do agree that some textures (logs, dirt, stone, cobble) need to be toned down a bit. I will work on that before continuing on to other texture packs.
I think it looks quite nice! I like how you have very distinct spirals without going above 16p. I would advise that you not make the leaf blocks completely opaque, that makes it hard to see the tree bits inside larger trees. Other than that it's looking good.

Try to atleast put a bit shadowing and noise into it. I hate these simple looks to minecraft. no offence intended.
The spirals are supposed to make up for the lack of shading. Having shadowing combined with the patterns I have would make the whole thing look like a random mess, especially in 16p. This is supposed to have a patterned, symmetrical feel, and if you hate that type of thing then I suggest you move on. With that said, I have tried to put some shadowing in some blocks, like the mushrooms and ores.

Aye, I was making the leaf block for "fast." The leaf blocks on "fast" mode are completely filled in. I'm working on the "fancy" mode leaf blocks later, because they're tedious.
Well done on the texture pack, although i believe the spirals have been used before in other texture packs!
Could you PM me a currently-updated texture pack thats main idea is spirals? I did manage to find one other "swirlcraft," but it was not updated and was very different from what I was doing.

I think you should switch the light and dark spots on the leaves though.
You're right, most(if not all) of the blocks I've made so far had light swirls on dark background, some dark on light variety would be perfect.

Anyway, I got all the ores done. I'm pretty happy with the result. Forgot to do lapiz, though.
