I was bored and wanted to see how a hand-drawn, monochrome texture pack would look. I've drawn couple of blocks on the terrain.png file and figured I'd get some constructive criticism.

How about using some colored pencils? You know, to break up the monotony of black and grey. It's good, though. I look forward to the finished version.

Are you going to color them? And it needs more contrast imo. The glass and spawner look weird, the transparency is like really an abrupt edge, needs like a darker border around edges

This is still an early version. I'm gonna go back and clean up the whole thing after all of the blocks are finished. I'll probably offer both a monochrome and a color version too.

Are you planning on reskinning everything including the mobs or just the blocks?

please finish this! i have waited a long time for a texture pack with a hand drawn feel, and this time it is hand drawn!

Ohh, this is neat. I think it'd be fun to color the files ourselves, like a coloring book.

i like the idea of Graytones, but real needs darker edge lines for the tras. parts

Screw these clowns saying it needs colour; I love the black & white. This looks awesome.

You've started off the same way the guy doing Scribblecraft did, so I won't tell you what everyone told him when he posted up his first stuff [hint]. You have got a different look going and at 64x, rather than 128x which is what Scribblecraft is at, which I know isn't everyones bag. Keep working on this, you've started a good pack.

A unique and interesting set of textures, makes the game seem kinda like a story book.
Are you going to skin the mobs, items and everything else?

Just an idea, but instead of coloring everything, how about colored accents? It would look really artistic, and would be easier than actually coloring everything completely for the second pack.

When it's finished, this'll probably turn into one of my fave texture sets. :happy.gif:
