Recently, I have been trying to get texture packs on my Mac Minecraft account. No matter what, I can't get the game to "Adopt" the texture pack, so I developed what I think might work. I takes a while to do, but it could be developed into something easier and better. I call it the "Cut the Past" Method.
What you do is copy the file that holds the all the stuff, and paste in another file that you should call "MC Alternate Texture." Take the file, and find all the stuff (Armor, Art, Items, Terrain, Terrain.png, etc) and replace it with all the stuff that you want to put in it. Haha! Success! All you have to do is copy another file of the original (In case you want to go back to default) and delete it. Replace with your file, and you have a new texture! Yay!
