The Rainy Day texture pack is a warm and welcoming (Yet at the same time gloomy and dark) 16x16 texture pack made from scratch (Well, mostly). For the most part, the name was just taken from my love for the rain in Minecraft, but it reminds me of the coziness this texture pack gives off (Well, to me at least).
- I see that WIP there...How much is complete?

And here's a preview of the terrain.png:
- Where can I download this texture pack?
Direct Download | Adfly (I mean hey, everyone's doing it on here, might as well)

Hmmm...Well, I'm using Painterly Pack as a base (As well as for water, which I've desaturated to seem semi-realistic) as you can see. I can't do ores for crap. If anyone wants to make some nice ores using the stone texture I have, I'd love that. For now, it's just that crappy gold ore, with all the other ores stoned out (Hurr).
If you want to show your support for the Rainy Day texture pack, put this in your signature:
Which wood style would you like to see in the main pack (The losing style will have an alternate terrain.png)? Cast your vote in the poll above! Poll ends April 30!
I will probably use this when It's completely done, I suggest doing the same for water, making it that transparent colour to match
I sort of did. If you look at the terrain.png, I desaturated it quite a bit. It's still a little blue, but it still looks semi-realistic. I'm going to make my own water after I'm done with the rest of the terrain.png though, and it will hopefully look nicer with the transparent color.
this is nice. I might actually download this, if i was home. anyway I suggest you keep at it, you're pretty good, we need more good 16x packs like this, and sorry to advertise but I think you should join my texture pack clan it's a group of creators who help each other out, we have a website and over 20 members already, you'd be a great addition. If you're interested follow the link in my signature
Nice! I edited them a little (And by edited I mean added noise around the ore gems), and put them in the latest update to the pack:
Added:
Obsidian
Snow
Side Snow
Ice
TNT
Ores (Courtesy of AloSec)
Ore Blocks
Pine Log
Birch Log
Pine Needles
Saplings
Mushrooms
Sun (Transparent effect that sort of lets it glow with the sunrise/sunset)
Next update will include chests, workbench, furnace, etc. and possibly the rest of the natural blocks.
Also, thanks for the positive response everyone! I remember my last texture pack failed (I never even finished it), so it's good to see that people like this one). Also, I added 2 different pictures to the first post.
This looks eerily similar to painterly's pack. But it's great nonetheless.
Well, I am using it as my base, but I did take a bit of inspiration from it. And thanks for the comments guys. Also, Rhonde, that gives me an idea to make my own banner and logo. :biggrin.gif:
I know the Painterly pack well, so I've no problem with this, but I do hope you'll add more. I'll be back soon! I'm bookmarking it! I'm putting it in my signature! Don't disappoint.
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
I would have a Rainy Day texture pack image here, but it was too big.
cool, if you have trouble with the code-making for the banner, just copy that code, and change the code
I already added mine to the first post. :tongue.gif:
Also, I uploaded a new version with chests, workbench, furnace, jukebox, reeds, and cactus. The chests/workbench/furnace/jukebox are kind of meh, and I'll most likely be redoing them after I get the rest of the terrain.png finished.

Curse PremiumHaha. Well, glad you like it. I always felt that transparent/clear rain looked nicer than blue rain, seeing as rain isn't actually blue.
