does it have biome files? (used painterly for like a day...when I first started playing so idk)

If your graphics are set to fancy, then your misc/grasscolor.png is probably solid white or something. (And you most likely have a green grass tile in the upper left corner of the terrain.png) In that case, either remove/replace the misc/grasscolor.png or remove the tile below the iron block in the terrain.png or make that tile green to match the grass.

If your graphics are set to fast, then the side of your grass is bad. (Fourth tile to the right counting from the top left.) Make the grass on that tile green instead of gray.
