May seem like a silly question, I tried using gerudoku since the 1.5 update and the new saplings had a gerudoku logo. I would've thought that if there is no available texture for new objects, it would just use the default texture. I like the look of brown and bloom, but that hasn't been updated since 1.2 :/ will I have problems using an old texture pack, what will happen to new stuff?
It will become a purple block, part of an alternate texture/text, or be invisible. I patched the one I use for myself, instead of waiting for an update.

I can see where you would get that idea, but keep in mind that all terrain textures are on one sheet - terrain.png. It's not like mobs, where each has its own individual skin.
If an block is missing from the pack's terrain.png (or an item is not on the items.png sheet), it simply won't be visible in game.
It's easy enough to remedy - just paste some textures for the new items from another pack you like, onto the terrain.png you prefer. There are topics here on the forum to explain how to do it.

That sounds like a good idea, thanks
