Ok, this texture pack is a labour of love. I wanted to brighten up the grass in minecraft a bit, so i started a texture pack that simplified many of the textures, whilst keeping to the overall theme of minecraft for my own amusement. It kept growing and growing and eventually i decided it might be worth sharing. Most of the terrain file has been modified, but this is still a work in progress at the moment, so many textures are still using the default minecraft ones untill I've finished modifying them.
Originally I made this texture pack in the default texture pack size of 16pixels. I left a discontinued download at the bottom if you are curious.
When i performed a few tests, I found that 32pixels was the largest texture pack size i could use without a huge drop in performance when it started raining. Since the HDpatcher is extremely easy to use these days, I figured I should start upgrading this pack to give it a smoother look.
Below is the 32x32 Texture pack.
You will need the high definition patcher for minecraft wich is available on the minecraft forums before this texture pack will work.
Nice dude! I love the looks of it. The way my house was set up, and the windows placement, made it look so modern and cool looking.
Hey, if you get a chance, would you take a quick look at my texture pack? Gloomydaycraft. it's in my signature box
But anyways, nice pack!

It looks ok i guess - not really my cup of tea though.
Oh and if anyone has any suggestions on the level of the shading and highlights I'd appreciate some feedback - perhaps down the line I'll make a few versions with different levels of shading for different preferences.

The idea behind this mod is simplification of the original textures using flat colors with shading and highlights only.
Not yet, but I'm working on it
Yeah, I'm gonna take that out in the next version - it just seems silly in hindsight.
Once I have started work on the 64 pixel version I may update this if enough people like it.
