I don't like the way they look- is it possible to retexture them so that they look like the LIVING pigmen? Don't call me a wuss or anything, it's just a game- it's because I want to see a living pigman in minecraft and cant wait for them to come out.
Well its very easy, create a new .zip file (using something like WinRAR) and name it something like sexpigmen.zip.
Then go into your minecraft.jar (appdata/roaming/.minecraft/bin) using a program like WinRAR.
Open the "mob" folder.
Copy the pigman.png texture to your sexypigmen.zip (or something) and put it in a folder named "mob" (suprise suprise!).
Then rename it to pigzombie.png.
Put the .zip file in your texture packs folder and fire MC up! Load your tex pack and bam!
Do I need winrar? Even so, I don't know where the mob folder is. Can someone just make a texture pack that has the pigman texture replacing it? This sounds too hard D:
If that download up there worked:
Put it in the texture packs folder, open minecraft, hit 'texture pack', and select the one that isn't default.
If it didn't, do this:
-Get Winrar. You will need it.
-Go to appdata/roaming/.minecraft/bin with 'run' in the start menu [assuming you're on windows?]
-Right click the icon named 'minecraft.jar'
-Click 'open with' and select Winrar
-Open up the 'mob' folder in the .jar
-Rename the file called pigzombie.png to pigzombie2.png
-Rename the file called pigman.png to pigzombie.png
-Close the .jar
-Open Minecraft
-Go to the nether
-Zombie pigmen are now living pigmen.
Does that work for you?
EDIT: fixed the file ending names because I'm a derp
Then, try SkinEdit (Good thing, it uses character default) and open with the file pigzombie.png then modify their textures.
Oops, missed a few words.
However you could do copy pigman.png, put it on desktop and replace it to pigzombie.png then replace it in the mob folder.

Forget all that, just place this in your texturepacks folder and use it.

ooh! Just to make sure... it's ONLY the replacement texture and NOT anything else, right? I want it to be the same with that one exception.
Hate to burst my own bubble, but just to test it, I renamed it "zombie" and entered my omgjizzfacelol level. The zombies were zombies. D:

Lol. I was gonna say that. I do too, sometimes. I'm a vetern. My account is wert9867.
Oh, well. And the pigman texture is in the mob folder.
I'm a pixel artist who makes pixel things and maps! I also do line art occasionally.
I have two work in progress resource packs!
This is the second one!
And of course, by "work-in-progress" I mean "will never, ever be completed".
