Hey guys, I'm new here so forgive me if this is in the wrong section.
Basically what I want to do is have a few texture packs, but be able to save them and switch through them on the minecraft game menu.
I have been using the gerodoku texture pack for a while, and I installed it by putting it in a folder with the minecraft game.
Problem is, it never gave me an option to switch between that and the regular look, it just changed my "default look" to gerodoku....
So the question is, what do I have to do to have a fee texture packs saved, amd be able to switch?
First, force an update for your game to get the default textures back. (Either via the new launcher or by deleting the /bin folder)
Then run the HD patcher on it.
Finally, open the texturepacks folder (You can use the in-game button if you don't feel like finding it yourself) and place the .zip file with the texture pack into it. (DO NOT UNPACK THE .zip)
You should now have two options in the menu, one for the default and one for the pack you added.

Tis far better to be a witty fool than a foolish wit.
OK so i ran the update, now i have to take the folder with the texture pack, compress it into a zip file, and put it where?
In windows it is: %appdata%\.minecraft\texturespacks\
Or you can run the game, click the "Mods and Texture Packs" button and then the "Open texture pack folder" button.
