With the 1.5 update today, my favorite texture pack has stopped working correctly. The dirt blocks have turned into these black/dark green blocks. The weird thing is, it's only on the sides.
Is anyone else having this problem? Does anybody know what I can do to fix it?
I've got the same issue here, the sides of about half of my dirt blocks (generally the ones near the surface) have turned a shade of rosy pink. It probably has something to do with biomes or height as the color changes slightly from place to place. The default texture pack has no issues.
The 1.5 update implemented something called a "Side Grass Fix".
Open your texture pack and then open terrain.png.
Just under the iron block and to the right of obsidian is the block for a Side Grass Overlay.
For an easy fix, make this block transparent in your favorite image editing program.
If you can't, please use an updated texture pack such as Frenden's

As a texture pack maker I try to keep updated on stuff like this - I follow the twitters, I check the news section, etc. - but it seems like everyone knows about things that I don't. Is there some post that tracks these things? I've looked around and I can't find anything.
