I asked a moderator to sticky this two days ago and still have gotten no reply. If they were as quick to highlight something that's helpful to the entire Texture Pack forum as they are to hand out warnings and bans, it would have saved many pack makers the hassle of having to re-release their 1.5 packs yet again. :sad.gif:
Keep spreading the word in the meantime!

I rewarded you with a position on my credits list (for helpers,) because you provided all a fix, but all the sudden, when I toggle it on, it's still "off" state, but sparkles are coming out.
useless trying to get this stickied... but.. once we get some more solid info and ideas about fun ways to play with this change I'll try to add the info to the artists guild website. the link to it SHOULD be at least added to the must read post once we get more content and tuts posted.

Thanks for the mention! As for the issue, it sounds like something I encountered as well. I tried switching the positions of the wiring (place the lit wire greyscale in the lower row and the unlit one up top).

Thanks, that's my goal. If we cannot get a sticky, at least we can try to keep it near the top by finding out more.
I'd considered applying to the Guild myself, but most of my work is "under the hood" - troubleshooting rather than creating. I haven't really made much myself, I guess I'll need to do more when I can.

Ok, where the redstone dust is, its like this
[] []
[] []
erase everything in the bottom two, and make the top two grayscale. that should fix your problems, if not just experiment a little
Since there still seems to be questions and post about this...I thought I'd share a pic of how mine turned out (one version at least):
The "pipe" looking parts are on the bottom row (two 32x32 squares), while the top row is the "glow" of the redstone. Or the overlay/underlay as i call them:
