I'm making an adventure map, do you mind if I put this as the 'recommended texture pack' - even though it has nothing to do with AC. (All credit goes to you. :3)
Also, are you going to make one for revelations, if it is rather different to AC2 and brotherhood? :biggrin.gif:
Go right ahead! I'm actually very excited at the prospect of someone using this in an adventure map. And send me links/screenshots when you're done!
(Just as a tip-- if you want to recommend that people use this pack with your map, your screenshots should be shown using the pack. That way people will get all excited about it and want to use it! ...and it will help to advertise this pack XD)
I didn't realize that they were coming out with a new AC game (boy, am I out of the loop), but I'll look into it. But I may not like the 'feel' of it as much as brotherhood, so don't go holding your breath.
I made this town in a server using this pack so my friend using this same pack made a video of a climbing challenge to a hidden hideout here it is if u want to use it.

THAT IS SO COOL! I'll definitely post this video-- thanks for sharing.
Thanks for using my video! The server is in the description, mc.tag-clan.com. The villa is a bit out of the way, but master_torsin, Spinner and buttey are usually there and can teleport you. master_torsin (Mr. T or some other nicknames) made all of the villa himself with a bit of occasional help.

I got on the server, but I couldn't even get through the first wooden door! Everything just kept glitching and jumping and I couldn't move forward....
Btw, how do you talk to someone on multiplayer? (as you can probably tell, I've never been on a server before )
i dont know there colour just dont feels right with the assassins creed theme i would of thought more wooden like but thats just me
The chests in this texture pack are exact replicas of the chests in-game. I'm not sure how they could 'fit' the theme any more than that... but I do kinda see what you mean. In terms of a purely rennaissance pack, they don't really go.
How do i install?
Sorrry bout the noob question, if there is a better place to ask, send me there, thanks!
It's no problem-- these types of questions I CAN answer.
Okay, so first click on the link to download the pack (don't click on any of the ads, obviously). Save the file to your desktop, or any other place you can get to easily. Next, start up minecraft and click the texture pack button. It will take you to another screen with a scroll list (it should only have regular minecraft listed if you haven't downloaded any other packs). Click on the button that says 'open texture pack folder'. Then, simply drag and drop the downloaded zip file into the texture pack folder. Close the folder, select the texture pack you want from the list (make sure it's high-lighted, otherwise you'll just get vanilla minecraft) and start your game. Enjoy.

Do you have the HD patcher installed? That might be what's causing you problems.
Of course, it could just be minecraft going fubar...I've been getting the black screen alot while I'm playing too...
Open up the terrain png in photoshop or some other image editing program (paint if you have nothing else), select the bricks you want with the selection tool (looks like a rectangle made from dashed lines), and copy and paste the image. Now move the newly pasted bricks over top of the ones you're replacing (make sure they line up). Then re-save the image as terrain.png and put it back into the zip folder where you found it, making sure to delete the un-edited terrain.png.
**You must have 7-zip or winrar to open up the zip files-- if you click 'extract all', you won't be able to rezip the file with your edited terrain png.
Excellent work, steelfeathers, and refreshing to have something with original textures and ideas and hard work in evidence. I've never played any version of 'Assassin's Creed', My youngest lad has, but you should be proud of the Florentine atmosphere you've created here, and some of the clever uses of different terrain features like the cane and the ladder are inspired. Really well done!

Ezio climbs the campanile

Ezio inside Santa Maria del Fiore (there is a hidden room with treasure)
side trip to Agra, India
The dirt I am using for roof tiles looks a little orange in this pack but overall it fits quite nicely :smile.gif:
