This texture pack should be first updated! This texture pack was the texture pack that made you famous(this and lost valley). AAAAAND now it's probably going to burn your house down. With lemons.
Actually, I'm pretty sure it's Enchanted that made me famous. Most people didn't give a flying flip about Lost Valley (or so I noticed).
Yup, they would. If I find the time, I'll see about making some wooden chests.

Ahem, I actually loved lost valley and still do. I saw the Lost Valley sigs all over the place and thought "Well, if everyone likes this, I should check it out." I was instantly captivated by it's atmosphere, and your talent, watching it's progress filled me with so much joy, and finally seeing the terrain.png complete (before 1.8) made me so happy I couldn't download it fast enough. ...
so ya, there's a flying flip.

Unfortunately most of lost valley is crap, and I really don't have the time and energy to go back and overhaul everything, so meh. Glad you liked it, though.
On another note:
Who the **** is downloading this pack??? I've been averaging about 500 dl's a day, but this thread is all but dead, and I haven't updated in forever....is there some new map out that uses this pack that I haven't heard about yet? If so, please link me!

Well, maybe this bump might draw even more traffic. And as far as Lost Valley is concerned, obviously you are the artist and have a better idea of what "art" is, but I still think Lost Valley is stunning to look at. I am of course not asking you to update it because I respect that you have a lot on your plate. And I mean A F*CKING LOT. And it's wonderfully magical, so I am satisfied.

I don't think I have a better idea of what art is than anyone else, since beauty is in the eye of the beholder and all that, but I can't help cringing every time I load up lost valley for nostalgia's sake (although that may be do to the ugly blue-green default biome shading...). There are some textures I really love, such as the stone, gold block, wood, slab, brick, cobble, ores, and specialty wools, but given that there are over 138 textures on the terrain.png that leaves a lot of stuff that really needs a makeover.
Anyway, back to this pack: I've been inspired to work on an update! Yay! I just finished the two new varieties of sandstone (and I'm going to go back and redo the regular sandstone), and I also did a really sweet update to the gold block earlier. Expect pictures later tonight!
Ta-da! Lots of new stuff! If I can keep this momentum going, I'll probably be able to put out an update soon.
First, all new sandstone textures, plus the new sandstone blocks:
All the new plank textures:
Enchanting table, based on the doctor's stand:
wow, those are all incredible! I especially love the enchanting table, but I can't help but ask, sense you're doing new wood, could you maybe clean up the old one? I'm sorry but it looks to grainy and to me it seems like there is a bit of a tiling error.

I was noticing that too last night. I'll see what I can do, although I'm betting it's going to be difficult to retain the feel of the original....I created it mostly by accident anyway, hehe. (Wow, looking back, I really can't believe how much of this pack is happy accidents 0_o)
EDIT: Oh yeah, and here's some more stuff I forgot last night.

Wow, this looks Amazing
The new wooden planks looks fantastic, the enchanmentable is awesome and I can't wait to see how my city looks with the new sandstone and bricks textures. More variety FTW!!
A couple of questions:
1) What block is it that has the "marble squares" texture? (2nd quote)
2) When do you expect to release an update? Don't mean to pressure you but, I do remember the last time you updated,,, You know, when MC updated a couple of hours later...
Anyway... It's great you feel inspired to work with this pack again. Just take your time and I know epicosoty will follow

1) That's the circle stone, my friend.
2) That really all depends. I have a long laundry list of things I want to do/update, but they don't all have to get done immediately. Let's see... I want to add the cauldron, brewing stand, end stone/portal, emerald block, and cocoa pods. And as for the things I want to tweak (because they look like crap):
-grass
-web
-saplings
-mushrooms (need to replace the old herp derp google pics)
-gold ore
-iron block
-obsidian
-redstone torch
-netherbrick
-lapiz block
-wools
-rails
-repeator
-long grass
But like I said, I'm not going to wait until I have all those little tweaks done to update. They'll probably just get sprinkled on as I go along. Oh, and I REALLY need to update the OP, and get a suitable banner made. Yay more work!
I never really thought about mineshafts. It would look ridiculous. I probably try to edit the ladders myself though for personal use.
Here is a prototype banner. I'm not quite sure what to add so suggestions would be helpful!
i could add 'texture pack' or change fonts or colors or add pictures.
I'd suggest that the block in the center should be a block from this pack (not the grass though, since it's changing). At the moment it kinda looks like the banner for a server. But thanks for making one, though! The existing banner for this pack is definitely showing it's age.
also, the rosette stones have stayed in the pack for ages and they won't be leaving.
Lol. I read this and realized it was very true. My attempts at 'jutting bricks' have been less than steller. The other issue is that they only look good on top of blocks roughly the same color, otherwise they stand out like sore thumbs and just look strange.
Allthough, Wooden chest fit more of the minecraft feel. Any chance you can make them look wooden?
Thnx

Curse PremiumThat the whole new stuff is in page 44
Of course! God I feel dumb...
#facepalm
Edit:
I think what confused me is that I would write that as "p.44" not "pg44"
My head was like "Rated "PG13" for teens"

Looks fantastic! Although the player skin is kinda false advertising, since it's not included in this pack.

Original:
Both are good, but, being honest, I say the second one.
I like the new one because it tiles better, though, I like the style of the original.
