First, open up the zip with 7zip or winrar or something (do NOT unzip-- you won't be able to zip it up again)
Next, open up the terrain.png with an image editing software (such as photoshop, but paint will do you if you don't have PS). Select the alternative nether with the dashed rectangle tool, then copy and paste it over top of the regular nether. Save as terrain.png, and reinsert into the zip. Play.
Thank you very much. I hope you continue to update this and the lost vally pack.
So I did as you said and used paint to move the textures. However now all the transparent textures are white.
How do I fix this?
I forgot-- you can't do transparencies in paint. It fills in the background with white. Recopy and paste into Photoshop, or other software specifically for editing photos-- anything that understands transparency.
Unfortunately, there's very little you can do with it now that its been filled in with white. You'll have to start over.

LLove it! I'm a big AC fan (played all games cant wait for the 4th)(NOVEMBER 15TH) and the patcher doesn't work for me, but on some of the things (paintings ect) can I change abit or can I make my own texture pack and use some of yours, it doesn't feel right without asking you... but to be honest if i even tried to update it a little (it's just the S.Q.U.R. thing) it wouldn't make much of a difference as it's amazing enough already!
I'm sorry, I didn't understand some of that. Are you trying to make a remix pack using my paintings?
I'd love to have a customizer. But I have no real programming skills and don't know where to get one.
And thanks, I'm glad you like it :smile.gif:
I thought people would complain that I didn't outline the weapons, but I think having a black outline around everything looks kinda stupid. Manly swords don't need black outlines.
Sort of, what I'm saying is, could I with your permission, change or rather alter the appearance of some of the things in this lovely texture pack. Or help you with some of it? (I was making a 'Tunnel Entrance' and i put the paintings up on it of the S.Q.U.R. thing, and it was 2 blocks so i was going to move it to the middle) and maybe help you with some of the textures (Items as the terrain is already done I think) by e.g. the maps - codex pages. golden apple - apple/piece of eden. and maybe do some mobs (zombies ect)
I'm just going to cover all the bases here:
--If you want to alter the textures for your own personal use, go right ahead. At the moment, though, I would prefer that you didn't publish any packs using remixes of my textures.
--Thank you for offering to help, but I don't see any published packs to your name (correct me if I'm wrong), and I'd rather see some evidence that you have experience making quality textures before I commit.
lol thanks it wouldn't of been published ect just a texture pack that I would use as I wouldn't be able to make it downloadable for others lol
I can make skins... Never tried much for textures and I have always wanted to try...
If you want to take a crack at items and such, go right ahead. Just realize that I might not want to include them-- even if they're really good, they might not go with the 'feel' of the pack.
And I'd love to see an example of a Leonardo Davinci skin! :smile.gif:
I looked at this texture pack when it was recently made, I didn't care much for it. But seeing how it has many new improvements; I might use this for a building project that I'm always going on about.
when you gonna keep updating it? ive been waiting for a while for updates and havent seen any... i love this pack, just cant wait for everything to get finished up for you :biggrin.gif:

Ok. I'll redownload.
Is there any chance of a customizer like the one here http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/26727-johnsmith-texture-pack-v73a-32x32-16x-with-customizer/ to make it easier on people with no texture skills?
BTW I really like the new crossbow.

Retired StaffWOW that's a lot of exclamation points. Glad you like.
I would like to propose an alternative brick texture.

Retired Staff...did you have one in mind, or do you just not like the two I have and want me to make something different?
I like the two you've already made, but for a building project I am making, I really wanted something like this: http://image.shutterstock.com/display_pic_with_logo/99103/99103,1256403424,9/stock-photo-pantheon-ancient-brick-wall-circles-rome-italy-basilica-palatina-first-built-in-bc-by-agrippa-39510061.jpg
Not the arch pattern, just the bricks.
I thought his would fit greatly with this pack. It's the brick wall from Pantheon in Rome BTW.

Retired StaffLooks cool. I had thought about doing something like that anyway. I'll add it to my to-do list.
Thank you very Much :biggrin.gif:
