Lol! I definately need the stress relief, mate! I dug out my old copy of Cod4 the other day to let rip. That was satisfying for a bit
I even got the first version of AC bought me last Christmas or the one before, but my son beat me to it and once I'd watched him swingin' all over the place and he'd got me to watch him again and again, it sort of spoiled the plot for me. I'm like that with movies too...I have to watch them fresh from the beginning without seeing bits or I lose the will to see them through to the end. I think it's an immersion thing with me. Lol!
Now my other son's doing the same thing to me with 'The Witcher', I'd wanted to play that too, but he's just downloaded it off Steam in anticipation of The Witcher 2 and now I've lost interest already. It's old age setting in! Next thing you know Minecraft will end up being too exciting for me. Aaagh....it already is!!!!
so look..here's what you do... skip AC 1... get 2 & brotherhood without him knowing beforehand, and make a rule that he can't have it until you are done...lol (I have a 13yr old...nuff said...lol) and it sucks about the witcher.. excellent game..minus the horrid fighting system.
Excellent work, steelfeathers, and refreshing to have something with original textures and ideas and hard work in evidence. I've never played any version of 'Assassin's Creed', My youngest lad has, but you should be proud of the Florentine atmosphere you've created here, and some of the clever uses of different terrain features like the cane and the ladder are inspired. Really well done!

Very, VERY awesome. I had wondered, when you posted the first screenshots, why you used dirt for the roof instead of the convienient roof tiles X3

I built the Duomo long before I knew about your pack :biggrin.gif: at least now it's rectified. by all means replace the shot in your OP so we can forget about that dirt roof haha
aside: my OCD made me edit zan's minimap to show cloth colors so the roof would appear orange on the map. Official version should be doing that shortly so wasted time!
My pumpkins have water and lava flow on the sides top and bottom of them....

Your other texture packs must all be 16x. You NEED the newest HD patcher version to fix those problems. That's why the HD patcher was made in the first place.
Been busy with life, and only just realized that mojang had gone and ****ed up all the texturepacks again. It's fixed now. More stuff on the way.
...Anyone know what the dead tree/black-and-white pine tree are for?
There are biomes with pine trees and birch (probably what you mistook for dead) trees in them. Birch tends to be mixed throughout normal tree forests and pine trees spawn in snowy biomes. They all have their own saplings as of the 1.5 update.
EDIT: Also, is there any way you could put up a link to Xau's HD patcher on the front page? I searched for it and found a lot of things that use it, but not it. I'll check again, though.

Thanks for answering, but I already know about the different sapling types from 1.5. I'm talking about the NEW spirtes added in 1.6 that appear just below the diamond/gold blocks on the terrain png. Besides the tall grass, I can't figure out what the two tree things are for-- I haven't seen them at all.
Also, the HD patcher is a sticky at the top of the texture pack forum. Just go to the main teture pack page and it's right there at the top with all the other permenant topics.
