I installed some other texture pack, and IT WON'T GO AWAY! It keeps changing the lava to this stupid Red spotted-yellow texture. Please give me the original texture pack. I DO have it on default too!
Exit out of minecraft, if open.
Go to Start->Run
Type in %APPDATA% and hit enter.
You can either:
Delete the .minecraft folder
or go into the .minecraft folder and delete the bin folder
Restart minecraft.
It will update, but that's perfectly normal, it's downloading the default files again.

DO NOT DELETE .minecraft. It will get rid of your saves.

Minecraft has a built-in function for situations like this.
Open up the launcher and click 'Options' in the bottom right. Then click on 'Force Update' or something like that. Then login. Minecraft will re-download and fix any problems.

Yeah, or do it the manual way, delete the VERSION file, that all the button does lol.
Then minecraft thinks "OOO UPDATE TIME" and redownloads. :tongue.gif:

Yeah...only 48 more clicks of the mouse button. not much difference at all.

I have a shortcut on my desktop to %appdata% so its only about 5 clicks. (Mainly because I have to keep switching around mods lol)
My minecraft folder has shortcuts to .minecraft, textures, and screenshots, so neer neer!
Also If you still want someone to post the default pack I can do that for you, I like to make little folders containing all the vanilla updates so I can easily use them for refs or in the event that i want to use default while I have a texture patched into the game

I was having the same problem, so I did this, and Minecraft shuts down at the Mojang screen everytime...
