It's smoother and simpler than the regular textures.
Don't like it? Don't ****ing post, don't ****ing use it. We're both happy.
"Don't like it? Don't ****ing post, don't ****ing use it."
I'm sorry but what are you thinking?
Seriously, if you wont accept anyone telling you they don't like your work, you're going to fail @ life / are already failing.
Other than that, some OT:
I say, be careful of the name "SmootherCraft"
Or
Cleancraft, SimpleCraft, SimplePack, Smooth Pack and all that.
Its what attracts people that hate these kind of texture packs.
Also I know the textures are supposed to be smoother, but some look really scribbled on and just plain stupid, like all the different log types and the ores.
Hm, I actually like the logs, but I know the ores could use work.
Thanks for the input.
Well here's the thing with the logs, for both of them, you should definately not have the entire texture concentrated on the middle, instead, make the lines go all the way to the top sometimes and come out of the bottom again to give a better tiling effect.
And the birch logs' texture seems to be focusing on the lower right
I see what you mean, alright, I'll see what I can do to improve them, thanks for detailing that.
Since the only files I modded was "terrain.png", there is really no need to put it into a .rar and have it be selectable in the main menu.
I see a big reason as to why you should. I've bolded the important part for you.

Really, that's so much better to have people go through these steps, just to be able to use your texture pack:

In order to install, you need to go to "Application Data" which can be done on a PC with Run -> %appdata% -> .minecraft -> bin -> Use WinRAR to "Open With" on the "minecraft.jar" file. Copy and paste the new "terrain.png" file straight into minecraft.jar, not in other files.(Make sure minecraft is not on), then play!
Think about the people who have multiple texture packs they want to switch on the fly.
I already turned it into a .zip and It will be used in the next version.
I'm waiting for 1.6 so I can release that, no use putting it out when 1.6 will probably come soon.
Bringing this pack back up, as soon as I get home from school tomorrow and hopefully 1.6 will be out, I'll update the .zip pack so you can all select it from your main menu's, just be patient!
Looks very nice, its quite easy on the eyes i like it.
EDIT: After using it, its very nice.
Thanks, I'll start updating the textures more, I'm a little reluctant to move into items since I'm not too skilled in photoshop but I believe mobs are definetely next!
