Easy.
Put the hd texture zip archive in the .minecraft folder--
If you don't know what that is:
- Go to the "Run" program. (Start > Run)
- Search for %appdata%
- .minecraft should come up on that.
Then, go to the texturepacks folder and put the texturepack in there.
Then, GET THIS: MCPATCHER
Run it, select your hd texture in the "texture pack" box, check off any boxes you want and hit "Patch". Should be working now.
Fire minecraft up, load a world and see.
If you want a good 64x texture, try this: Angelcraft 64
