I could've sworn you were gonna decide to go with skullsplosion fireworks, because (as you know) this pack is severely lacking in the skull department

Doom, are you able to get forge, mcpatcher and optifine working correctly for 1.4.6? Cause i'm trying it and it gives me a pop up window with error but nothing else.

Here's a screenshot of mine I just took. Only mods installed are MCPatcher for Better Skies and Optifine for everything else.

If you're seeing white lines running across the pixels or such, I suspect it has something to do with your video options or possibly MCPatcher. (didn't test MCP without Optifine, but I'm going to assume their new mipmap option has bugs)

I think it's because optifine hasn't fixed that but i think mcpatcher has cause i'm using both and it works

As for avatars, I don't have any other specific ones made, but if you want one, just pick a mob/HD Skin/texture and give me a general idea ( square close-up of the face, full body shot like Mine, etc) I'll throw one together.

(Same goes for all of the regulars! Let me know if any of you want one!)

I did.
Make sure you download all the latest files for Forge ("universal"!), Optifine, and MCPatcher.
Then use MCPatcher to install Opti & Forge.
Order they should appear in MCPatcher before clicking "patch":
- Forge
- Optifine
- Better Skies

Basically, still following the new-ish installation steps I put up a few days back. If it doesn't work for you, my guess woud be that there's probbly still a small mod file lingering about that's not compatible (most small mods don't work yet)

I'll try out both and see which one looks better. I'm just assuming that the stars will work better becuase the skulls are a little more smoke-like.

Yeah, seems like it's something like that.
Best I can say to try right now is the above mentioned installation method using Opti & MCP.

Out of curiosity, are the sides of ALL my items like that, or just certain ones?

i have this problem with all hd item textures, default textures like the firework item are fine though. i used mcpatcher to instal in this order: better skies, optifine, glsl of.

Same here.
I've installed it in this order:
Mcpatcher, Better Skies, Optifine.

So either mcpatcher or optifine haven't updated to fix the HD sides. :/

EDIT: Ok so I uninstalled Optifine and just ran MCpatcher and it works fine.
Looks like Optifine just needs to update.

Yes all others that you can't see have been ticked off. Stupid minecraft incompatibility shi*t

karyonix's version of glsl shader has improved greatly it now performs better than glsl of imo. so now i can do bumpmap and reflections for ctm glass and pillars. i just had to modify all the DOOMctm.png/properties to default ctm.png name. he also plans (i think) on doing bumpmap/specular shader for mobs. ( i really hope he does)

sorry i dont use magic launcher, i install everything manually atm - install optifine then shader mod. instructions and download will be changed today for karyonix's version of glsl mod

new shader update. now use Karyonix's glsl mod to support ctm.png. start with a new .jar and delete vdc ctm folder and replace with downloaded files etc

edit: just worked out randomterrain is also supported by karyonix's glsl mod so i uploaded a new version please redownload.

Amazing texture pack and shader mod but unfortunately has some issues with the Twilight Forest mod, though with the plethora of mods out I don't expect it to work with everything. It runs and loads just fine but it makes everything really bright, and distorts come colours such as fire being yellow and blue for me. Even in the labyrinth areas or any cave for that matter there's no need to put any torches down because everything is so shiny.

Just thought I'd pop in real quick with a bit of semi-funny, semi-infuriating news...


So apparently I'm now banned from PlanetMinecraft for the next 10 years for blocking one of their condescending tween moderators on Skype after they decided that Skype was the proper place to harass me and make personal attacks.

Just for the record, this is far from the first time this sort of thing has happened there. I guess I was just lucky that none of their mods were aware of my presence last year, when they had their first big round of "let's just ban everyone we don't personally like". For those unaware of the timeframe, this happened about 15 seconds after Cyprezz stopped actually appearing on his own website.

To be fair, it really makes no difference to me. I can still update my submissions there, and I wasn't planning on uploading anything new. I just can't respond to anyone who asks questions or needs help anymore.

So yeah, expect a new "[email protected] PMC" banner soon.
I'm thinking of a little HD Doom bending over a Steve with the PMC logo for a face.

Yeah, I'm officially over it.

Turns out, my ex-wokplace sent me goddamned fake check. I just spent the last hour getting screamed at by Walmart employees and police officers.
I not only have NOTHING for Christmas, but I'm probably going to end up being fined.

So I could care less about PMC now.
