The skybox/better skies coding still has some issues (transitioning, mostly), but that's why I keep the "Beta" tag on vDC when it's more developed than most "full" packs.
I had actually JUST seen that mod before seeing your post, Dr! Looks simple enough; I was just going to give it a month for the mod developer to... develop it a bit more. It seems lik the sort of mod that'll have at least a few more necessary textures before too long (I'm hoping for a backing texture and 2-d mob portraits); And I'm not very good with keeping up to date on mods.
Which makes Ph1il's doing all the better!

D'oh! Just occurred to me... I forgot to invite you to the vDC Dropbox Cloud Folder!
I've got a lot of the multi-layered PSDs for vDC textures up in an online folder Zomb, other mod support makers, and myself share! Should be pretty usefull!
Just let me know whether or not you already have a Dropbox.com account.
If not, I'll send you an invite-code that'll give the folder extra space as well!
the skybox is cool.. i had some trouble getting it to work with shaders but i got there in the end, just have to install with mcpatcher in this order: better skies, optifine, glsl of and then it will work.
wow the night sky is beautiful!... i did notice you have the same problem i had with my skybox - stars in front of moon, its easy to fix you just need to work out where on the image the moon goes and delete stars from that area, the skybox and moon rotate at same speed/direction so its always in same spot on skybox. other than that it looks amazing thanks doom
edit: 32x and 64x port uploaded... didn't know what to do with skybox, for now it is unchanged but if it really needs reducing let me know.
I'm gonna try out the Shaders with the VDC, hope my computer survives!

Just a few fixes for the TP I hope you can get on to quickly:
1) Fireworks sparkles not the item but the explosion cannot be seen with vDC for some reason.
2) Items when dropped on the ground are now 3D but the sides look all retarded.
I hope you can fix these issues because they look crap and I want them to look amazing like the rest of vDC.

i can upload a fix for the fireworks... its just some particles on particles.png. just gimme a bit - i just got home.

DERP! I didn't realize the fireworks used new particles. The default particles.png is mostly empty (uses ampty alpha-space instead of pixels for some reason) and I can't find the damned fireworks in creative lol
Use zomb's fix for the time being. I'll have a quick new release out soon with them in there (though I think I'll probably just reuse the "health potion" stars. They seem like they'd work perfectly)
As for the 3d item sides, I'm not sure what you mean.
Here's a screenshot of mine I just took. Only mods installed are MCPatcher for Better Skies and Optifine for everything else.
If you're seeing white lines running across the pixels or such, I suspect it has something to do with your video options or possibly MCPatcher. (didn't test MCP without Optifine, but I'm going to assume their new mipmap option has bugs)

Sure hope there's some mods that can use these, because they're going in the pack regardless.
