Other than the sun, which is spectacular, I'm thinking it would make for some really cool material layers, underneath outlining and such! Not entirely sure what to use it on yet though!
Speaking of screenshots (earlier... just roll with it), I just got a bunch from youtuber McKrawll's "KrawllKraft" server!
Including some using Zomb's cartoony shaders!
I think I'm going to start uploading these to DeviantArt or something, so that I can have a nice gallery somewhere less crappy than Facebook.
i forgot to mention - the lens flare effect in the shader i posted only works on ati gfx cards.
and i've also noticed that there is no darkness at night- terrain and animals are lit up.. will try to fix later.

Also, I ended up using the Faggy O'Hara Minecon images to do a little in-character report!

In other news, I've gotten some random textures done! Maps, Map icons, a new Splash Screen, Cobble & Stone updates, Emerald Ore & Block updates, the beacon Beam, Anvils, and some other stuff I can't remember.

So last night I sat staring at my drawing of the old Gimp Suit Leather Armor concept, trying to figure out what else I could do that'd be more fun than the average "tunic & skullcap" while still able to be dyed without looking sh*tty... and it came to me....
Luchadors!!! (with a loving nod to La Parka)
I'm thinking the facial skull and purple parts can be colorable...? (open to suggestions)
Also, I feel as though it could use more little bits of flare on the shorts/boots/mask, but I think I may keep it simple for its first release. I'm hoping for randomized armors in the future; In which case, I'd have more wiggle room if I keep it fairly bare now.
As for the chest piece, it'll just be the arm bands and a little cape that wraps over the shoulders/top-plane of the body.

I ended up making all the colorable parts white, so the defaults ingame will be leather brown. I played a bit with coloring them and it turned out pretty well! The only problem at the moment is that the bulk of the mask (IE the black part) is a bit boring, so I'm going to add the tiny honeycomb texture that Deadpool and some of my other HD Skins use.
I've gotten all sorts of random screenshots since the GLSL shaders update.
Hell, my screenshots folder is currently at 4.1 gigs!
