started making 'neon' vondoomcraft... it looks pretty trippy. will have screenshots tomorrow edit: the neon terrain needs fixxing up
i think i'll just upload neon mobs,title,gui and maybe items. to many errors on neon terrain atm.
thanks doom. i have posted in the glsl of thread, i'm still messing with them though, i got lens flare effect when looking at/around the sun. looks amazing. i'm trying to get reflective water to work with vondoomcraft but thats less successfull so far. i've seen it in default and it looks nice.
i'm pretty sure he did!! i think gwar is his fave band also...i've seen a filmclip from a gwar concert and it looked pretty awesome.... you should do a gwar skin! this one
ok i've uploaded the 128x premade and blood rain - skullflakes and betterskies as well but i don't think i have enough credit at this cafe to upload the 256x ones (no internet at home now till friday) i will upload 256x premades by tomorrow arvo (no longer using mediafire - dropbox is better imo)

Lens Flare sounds awesome! I could never get it to work (or never noticeably so). As for reflective water, I remember fiddling with the mod a few months back, and it ended up looking alright somewhere around 50% opacity; So the actual texture was clearly visible with a slighter reflection over it.
Balzac skin... yes. Yes, it shall someday be made! Probably after I get to the Sheep textures, so I can re-use the "goat legs".
I am very tempted to try an Oderus HD skin sometime sooner though... if only there was a giant phallus with googly-eyes mod...

I was kind of hoping to find something in the digital arts field, but every single posting I see is basically asking for the same type of art: the speed paints you'd see in a loading screen, or movie concept art.
Right this moment I'm thinking of maybe finally putting together a nice vDC webpage and trying to figure out exactly how the hell a few of the other Minecraft texturers/modders have managed to make actual money. There's t-shirts and such, but I wouldn't really expect more than a dozen vDC shirts to actually sell...?
I believe it's mostly in advertisements and a lot of PR, but I'm not particularly skilled at either.
mhh small idea for the infected villagers. dont know how far ur planning to use that nose thing the villagers got, but for the infected one u could use it so it looks like the body or tail of the facehugger from the alien movies (maybe another zombie with the typical open chest ?)
That's actually a really cool idea! I don't think it would really fit well in the pack; but damn, I'd love to see that too!
The facehugger idea might even be cooler on the Witch! the little tail would twitch around... I dunno...
For the time being, I'm thinking of making a zombie villager that's basically a female version of the ones already in there but missing its' mandible and neck; So the top of the tall-villager-head is similar to the current ones, but the lower portion is just visible spine.

Anywho, sorry for the lack of responses the last few days! Work has been absolute hell these last two weeks; But today was last day, so I am looking forward to having some time to devote to textures again!
Also, I've JUST now updated from 1.4.2! Has anyone noticed if any textures mess up due to the updates?

i also just finished an oil paint version which i will get pics and upload soon. the oil paint vondoomcraft turned out really nicely - its the better of the two.

Seriously though, this is amazing. It should be made the new default texture pack. So much work and talent has clearly gone into this! Finally a texture pack where I can forget the fact that the world is made of pixels!!!

ok here is v10 seus shader (works with glsl of), modified by zomb69 - lens flare, godrays, cellshader, waving everything, tryed to normalise brightness, reflections do not work yet -currently disabled, dynamic shadows disabled to fix torches etc.

Also is it at all possible to fix the mob heads? I know its because they only use the first head layer. Maybe cut and paste the top layer onto the bottom layer so the heads work? I dunno that would probably wreak the actual mobs somehow. Just a thought

He knows about this and it's going to be fixed in the next update. And it wouldn't 'wreck' the mobs, but they wouldn't look as awesome i don't think.

Enderchests I'm working on, but I think they're just going to be placeholders until I ca come up with something better for them. Anvils I'm currently toying round with, trying to figure out what goes where, texture-wise. (I'd love to throw some Norse rues and such on them, but I believe it reuses the same texture for all the weird little sides of the anvil)
Worse comes to worse, I'll slap the blank-side of the furnace on there and add some cracks.

Yup yup! I just forgot about the leather armor bits, as the current armor was a placeholder. It'll be fixed for the next release!

For the time being, we're basically waiting for either the MCPatcher or Optifine dudes to add some feature for them; but I really have no idea whether they've even noticed its a problem for multiple texturepacks.

Exactly. I'm hoping they do what they did with the pressureplates and such and allow them their own textures!
(Though, last night I hit a bug that may break the plate/button textures for a bit )
or maybe an evil brainsucking squid (or even something that looks like the silverfish) is sitting on top of the villager (or maybe on top of the witch thing?) would fit with the style of the emerald things... as sign of evil and such things...

and great thing with the skelebats for the petbat mod. maybe some textures for the minions mod? would fit great with ur pack and if could paint em how they looked like in dungeon keeper 1 and 2.

Alrighty, folks!
So finally having gotten some time for texturing again, I spent last night updating the Cobbletone and Smooth Stone!
The cobble just got a slight texture update, with better colors/contrast and a new rock material.
The Smooth Stone I've completely redone to look a bit more like the wool (as far as the linework goes), and I'm toying with randomizing it!
I tried dozens of little variations to try and make it look more natural, and what I ended up with is pretty simple but works well: Mossy Smoothstone!
I think it breaks up the dull gray of most mountains-side/caves just enough; but isn't colorful enough to ruin any builds that use smoothstone as Gray Wool (statues and such. Know what I mean?)
Too bad there's no way to have the mossy stone (it's not even called smoothstone ingame) only appear in jungle and swamp biomes. (There's biome stuff for mobs, but I'm not sure about CTM)
