Having recently checked out a few of the major packs' Fire animations on youtube,I can safely say that most are either crap or the three animated fire GIFS that have been on the internet since Al Gore first layed its tubes; which makes me much less worried about it.
I'd still hate to have a crappy animation for it though, so for the time being I'm thinking of basing off the movement of the MCPatcher fire that's in there by default.
It won't be a direct trace of it or anything, but I think the movement might translate well enough to the pointy tattoo-like fire I have for the pack.
Yeah, sorry. Bored. Still trying to get over this damned plague I caught. Doom-i-fied fire is definitely going to cause a lot more netherrack lighting to be used though. Bound to be too awesome to not show it off a bit.
i've slightly edited shader files (i take no credit), i fixxed "omg torches don't work" by disabling dynamic shadows (acceptable compromise in my book), added slight saturation, cellshader, waving everything (water,lava,wheat,grass,flowers,vines,lilypads and leaves). enjoy. here's a pic at night. copy this into shader folder

yeah but as great as my pc is, with these shader i average 30fps. without shader mod i get upto 150 fps with optifine
i don't usually play much with shader installed - just take nice screenshots. i have a separate install for normal play
This texture pack won't work for me. I followed the installation instructions exactly, however when I load my world the game crashes after a few seconds. It crashes to a light blue screen, and then an error log appears. I've tried to allocate as much memory as I can through the advanced options in magic launcher, and by as much memory as I can I don't mean as much as I physically have but as much as the launcher will allow me. I have 16 gb of ram, however the most it will allow me to allocate past 512 mb is up to 1200 mb.
I'll post my error log in case someone can tell me what's happening.
EDIT: I stopped loading optifine in through magiclauncher and the game stopped crashing. I don't know why optifine would be the problem when the installation instructions say to include it :P.
