I've just been re-reading that and chuckling for the last few minutes. A doom-i-fied testificate... there is no better design for an idiot of any sort.
Hey Doom,
Loving the updates but I've noticed a rather significant problem.
I'm not sure if it's just me but some mobs such as zombie pigmen and zombies have screwed up skins.
As in their faces are on their legs and parts of them aren't even there!
Please check this out.
Thanks
Thanks guys! (And yep, as Zomb said, use the "snapshot zombies" inside vDC's mob folder.)
I should be home in about 2 hours, after which I'm going to get the release ready with screenshots and uploading and whatnot, and vDC 2.8 should be all set!
I may also have a smaller release for either Sunday or Monday, as I'd like to at least get the Bats (and maybe some randomized Jack o Lanterns, if my brother will get back to me with some designs) done before Halloween!
The "Very Scary Update" includes:
- New Skeletons! (4 random variations)
- New Animated Endermen! (Slendermen added to the Alts download)
- New Creepers! (4 random variants, plus 14 variants for Elemental Creepers support)
- New WIP animated Char.png!
- New Spiders (5 random variants)
-New Cave Spiders (4 random variants)
-New Silverfish! (7 random variants)
- Updated Pigzombies
- Updated Blazes
- Updated Tripwire Rope
- New Animated Beacon Block
thanks for update doom all looks awesome. the enderman is creepy! i like it. will have my stuff done after work
Thanks, dude! Yeah, I'm really happy with the new Endermen!
I'm going to have to go back in and redo the End Stone and Ender Portal blocks sometime, to be more fitting.
(I've been toying with the idea of giving it a CTM border, like the glass has, to give it a faked cel shaded look; and really make it stand out from the rest of the blocks.)
Also, very cool work with the new AVP stuff! I'm loving the first person wristblades!
'an error occured' reached positive votes quota for the day.
ha first time thats happened
i've uploaded ports etc for 2.8 was pretty easy since i don't change mobs.
-----------------
avp w.i.p. changed sand and dirt, grill/stair/slab block, industrial glass and ores slightly. tools and sword and wrist blades are perfect i beleive. may release w.i.p. update later
wow u must be workin real hard , thats a lot of new stuffz
also i think u could have done a better job on the enderman like make it more evil like what u did with the new skeletons
everything else u did is really INCREDIBLE though so great job!!!!!
Hey zomb69, I downloaded the AvP mod because i was really interested in the textures you've been making for it. But it seems I have trouble with the mediafire download, something wrong? is it me? or are you fixing it? Thanks and sorry if I'm being the famous noob as I'm probably being. (first forum post ever!)
thanks doom....

Looking nice, zomb! I especially the circuit board-looking item! What's that one supposed to be?
I'm hoping he throws in some pulse rifle sounds sometime soon! I'd love to whip up an item for them, but it's not worth it without their trademark sound,
And thanks once again for the port work!!
i really love the pack...
and the new creepers, but could you make them without those strings that let them look like experiments, i knwo that is awesome, but could you make an alternate without those strings/fads/things/... ?
that would make me really happy
I think I may have flattened some of the stitching shadow layers into the main coloring one, so they may not look a bit odd; but I'll see what I can do.
New vonDoom 2.8 is incredible doom, as always, already looking forward to the next update.
M-O-O-N, that spells Doom!

Thanks, dude! Gonna try and have the next one out as soon as possible, but apparently the storm heading my way could knock out the power for whoknowshowlong, so fingers crossed.
Hey doom, I made you a Halloween present.
Thought it was fitting, don't expect anything for Christmas.
It's a language pack for your mod to make a bit more sense, feel free to re-host it if you wish.
All files go in the 'lang' folder in minecraft.jar
Tell me if I missed anything...
Oooo, thank you very much!! I was never sure which file exactly let you name the items and such!
I'll add it in the next update until I can do my own edits; though I'm sure you already hit most, if not all, of the ones I would!
Thanks again!

Why, thank you!
I know the Endermen may look a little less detailed than the other monsters, but this time it was actually on purpose ;).
The Skeletons and Zombies will really only give a fright if they sneak up on you, for that "BOO"-scare.
I think the default Endermen basically have everything they need to be different, better kind of scary, with their AI and animations; They're just kind of not because of Minecraft's textural design (4 purple pixels rarely make me shiver).
Also, by this point, we've all just kind of grown used to the Endermen, thinking of them as pests that occasionally pop into your house.
They're creepy, other-worldly beings with their own unknown motivations.
They're basically your classic gray aliens; and I'm trying to tap into that sense of primal fear they've managed to instill in so many people, when used right. (American Horror Story, any one?)
I honestly think adding any more details would only serve to make them less frightening, and sort of humanize them a bit.
Trust me though, when you're staring deep into some dark cave, you're going to be thoroughly creeped out when these guys stare back!

Looks towards the top of the page and you find out.
Used snapshot and it fixed zombies but not pig zombies.

This update should fix it.

I'm hoping to update the stone at some point. I'd like to use some CTM methods to make it less repetative, and maybe slightly darken it.

I have now, and I like it! Consider it on the ToDo list, until I actually update the ToDo list!
