I tend not to really build houses, so much as I do lairs... So I can't really think of too much house decoration stuff that'd be useful. I don't know, maybe just random overlay type paintings?
Like it's just a few smudges of dirt/mold or a few cracks on a mostly transparent picture. You could toss a few of them randomly onto a wall or something, and poof~ Mossy wood, dirty cobble, cracked netherbrick etc. They'd look better from a distance, as up close you;d see that they're raised above the texture instead of set in to it, but meh. And it'd definitely look weird as hell using any texture pack other than VDC, but any pack that has non painting paintings will do that.
Not sure how useful/noticeable it would be, but crappy ideas are better than no ideas (Unless you're posting anywhere that FlowerChild has control of a ban hammer.
As for the massive one, if all else fails, giant tv? You could set up a control room Combining it with a few of the smaller monitors maybe? Idk It's 3:30, not exactly the best time for ideas.
Also, that purple tapestry and the chains... <3 Now with that said, I'm gonna go die. Maybe I'll actually be able to fall asleep this time.

Honestly, that tapestry's just a placeholder at the moment. I just know I need one that doesn't specifically say "Dr. Doom", so if you have any ideas at all, please do share!
I think the overlay thing is definitely a novel idea worth thinking about, but for moos/dirt/bloodsplatter/ect. the floating you mentioned would be pretty unbearable; And I usually like the floating effect with my paintings.
The monitor idea is pretty damned awesome though!!
Right now I'm thinking of a big vonDoomiified Bat-Computer with a bunch of open windows!
I'll sketch something up tomorrow!
the hud icons look awesome. and the chains are cool. you could make a painting with your doom shield and swords crossing it?
Thanks! I'm not sure how well the vertical chain will work out ingame, but I think the horizontal one will look pretty awesome either as a mid-wall trim or hanging around ceilings.
As for the Doom shield/swords, I'm actually holding that exact thought as my backup.

- standing pike or battleaxe with little wall attachments.
- Candelabra...
Although, 3 tall might be comically large... maybe I should replace the Creeper tube with a 1x2 candelabra, replace the empty tube with an axe/pike, and make the creeper tube a 1x3 by adding tubes to the top or something...??
That way, most players (IE, those not using MorePaintings) would have the "D" tapestry & candelabra, but lose the creeper tube. And the folks with the mod would lose the empty tube (unless randomized paintings ever gets added to mcpatcher/optifine).

hey i just downloaded the new updated pack. its awesome but i think the armor icons would look cooler if u make it be the old health icon which was the grey skull guy or the old armor icon which was the grey shield, those look cooler than the new one.
and the new hunger bar is scary it looks like a fetus , make it look more like food ! nvm i got used to the food and it look like shrimp now xD
also the compass in creative mode is always broken like on the creative menu on top right , where it says search items, it doesnt show the compas arrow

I love all the art that goes into the pack, I wish I had a pc that would allow me to run the 128x, but Zomb does a great job with the lower rez. packs, and I appreciate the effort from both of you so much, I'm using vonDoomCraft as my servers default tp, and so far people are blown away when they see it for the first time.If it is ok ,I'll post some pictures of some of the builds when I have time. I would love to see the rest of the items file, and the villagers, and the other mobs (passive) etc.but I understand about time restraints and such. keep up the awesome work team, every new version is a welcome surprise.

I hope I'm not stepping on you toes or anything but I started trying to make a favorite mod of mine work with the pack. The mod adds a black skeleton that carries a Katana(Adds other stuff too but this is the important part) anyway I came up with this just to make the mob fit in
All it is is an overlay of the Wither skeleton faded over the normal skeleton then made darker.I also changed the katana to one of your alts.I will probably put more time into cleaning it up later. Just wanted to show the result to you since it was created to fit in with your pack.
I've not messed with texturepacks much in the past so I'm having issues finding certain textures that I need to mod. Where is the egg texture located? I cant' seem to find the normal egg or the spawn egg textures.
Like I've always been, I'm amazed with the new update and you were right the new glowstone with the boarder does look amazing... sadly the black background on the gui is why you switched it to purple in the first place... alot of your textures are too dark to have the black gui behind them... Overall majorly in love with the new update love the new food/health bar its flippin sick!!!
But there is one the tropic and the birchwood different to the texture of the other woods?
do you think, you could give them the same texture and only other colours?

check out the premade alts by me (op). there is a terrain file with 'normal' planks there just drag into vdc pack. it will get updated for 2.6 later today

correct me if i'm wrong but i' pretty surethe dragon egg uses the obsidian texture.
I just discovered this mod lastnight and installed it right away. Its is the best texture pack I have seen but, I have incountered a rather odd bug. The ladders dont seem to be working at all. They apear to be there, but when u try to climb down them u fall straight all the way down, and there is no way to climb back up the ladder. Does anyone know why this is or what will fix it?

thats a weird problem. it cant be the texture pack it only changes textures. you may have a couple of mods screwing up.

ok 64x port is up. starting on the blood rain and premades soon. i want some feedback for the premades, more than 300 people got them (2.5) and i wanna know are they right? is there any other combo's i could make? does anyone want the bow recoloured or something else? thanks

Yes this is true i am also running minecraft forge and day z. Although they were both working before the texture pack was installed but I have also tried installing vonDoomCraft with mcpatcher just to test it out and the ladder worked. However most of the mod itself did not. I will try to delete minecraft and start again fresh.
