I love this texture pack so much! But please change the wooden plank texture, because those crate planks look really bad when building a house! I hope you do it, because it would make this a perfect texture pack!
Hey everyone. sorry for the complete lack of updates!
In short, I've gotten nothing done this week due to an almost crippling pain in most of the right side of my head.
I'm going to different doctors, but so far the only consensus is "well, it looks like you're in a whole lot of pain, but you look scummy to me so I won't be giving you anything for it"
I'm going to upload the little edits that I had finished before this started (new gravel, cauldren, and other stuff I can't even remember) later today.
It's not much, but hopefully it's enough until I'm either better or my head explodes.

One the plus side, here's that miniupdate I mentioned:
vonDoomCraft 2.1b Released!
The small "vDC 2.1b" includes:
- New Cauldron
- Recolored Bedrock
-Redone Grass & Side-Grass
-Redone snow & Side-Snow
-New Gravel (with multiple new alternates to choose from)
-Redone Log-Tops
-Added the very WIP HD font (if it's to hard to play with at the moment, simply delete the "font" folder from vDC.)
The artwork is so stylized it blows me away; the first time I saw a skeleton I nearly fell off my seat - the wicked grin on their face is fantastic.
I'm also using the Blade & Battlegear textures you made.
There seems to be a problem with the ui positioning when I press the i key to bring the menu up so I can change weapons. When I used the default texture pack for the mod there wasn't a problem so I can only assume either I did something wrong or something needs tweaking.
As you can see from the image the position is only slightly off:
I absolutely love your texture pack as you have clearly put some love & care into making it; it totally changes the feel of the game & in my opinion deserves it's own game, thanks.
The old version of which mod? The texture pack from here or the Blade & Battle gear mod? I just downloaded the beta from the Blade & battle gear page & the 256 texture pack from this page.

That aside, I'm finally working on some new stuff right now!
At the very least, I want to get the rest of the Terrain and some items (Specifically bowls, buckets, potions, and some others) finished for the next release.
Keep in mind, I'm still having seemingly random fits of intense pain that knock me out of everything fo0r at least an hour every time; So i really have no idea how much i'll get finished and by when.
Rest assured though, I am still working on it all!

Maybe... bloody/realistic hearts and something different for the food meter? And I was wondering if you would be making any different armor textures. They are different as of now... but, just different colors.
Last thing: Enderman were bad enough... now slendermen. Now when I see an endermen in the woods On MineCraft I have to run!
(You said you're having random pains that hurt bad enough to bring you to the floor? Might wanna have a doctor check on you... unless you know whats causing it.)

The current stuff in mostly placeholders (as people continually bitched about the default textures popping up ingame)
Health - Human heart
Stamina - Human stomach
Armor - Not entirely sure yet. maybe a skull, maybe a more stylized Doom mask
Air - Human lungs
As for the armor...
Leather - Gimp suit.
Chain - Cthulhu-themed crappy armor
Gold - Golden skeletal suit with a crown and handlebar mustache
Diamond - WH40k Space Marine armor
I believe I have images of at l;east the armor concepts in the "previews" spoiler in the OP.
I can't wait for the gimp suit; I'm sure it's going to be brilliant. Do you have any ideas for cows, pigs & fish? I'd love to see the pigs & cows in a skeletal form or maybe zombie skins with bones & flesh showing maybe? I'm sure you can think of something better as you're quite the artist. My artistry skills stretch far as stickmen & pictures that look like a 5 year old drew them.
P.S. Just out of interest what mods, if any, do you use when you play Minecraft? I've just updated to 1.3.1 & am running with no mods (just this texture pack) as many mods still need updating. On a side note it amazes me how many people post on these forums;'When will the mod be updated to 1.3.1?' It must make mod makers crazy.
Mods like Forestry, Mystcraft, Industrial Craft & Thaumcraft look quite interesting although Industrial craft seems a little too overwhelming with the 'tech-stuff'; nice idea though, a lot of thought has gone into make these mods. I prefer farming type of mods; although there are not that many good ones about, and when using such a good texture pack like this, the pixleated image of a carrot stands out like a sore thumb.

Animals, i've been thinking about a bit lately, and I think for the most part I'm not going to go too wacky with them. Pigs'll be pigs, etc.
They will still be of the same style as the rest of the pack, i just don't think I'll go off on a tangent with the friendly critters.
Once the last few hostile mobs are finished, I'll put more thought into them, and come up with some concept drawings.
Expect their facial expressions to be the highlight of the animals though, as their bodies are pretty boring.
The Mooshroom on the other hand...
As for mods, I haven't updated to 1.3 yet, so I'm still using some that are probably not updated yet either.
Mostly though, I just use mods for the visuals, as opposed to big gameplay mods.
Let's see...

- Minaptics (the zoom is excellent for taking screenshots)

All the alternative are in the the ALT TEXTURES folder in the texturepack zip file.
Yep, I use Optifine and for some reason vDC is working on 1.2.5 but not on 1.3... I don't know why!
