I just checked inside the folders of the textures and it looks like the spear is broken into 2 pieces and they don't aline in your texture pack. (I'm just informing you, not insulting you.)
The suppose to be like that. Check out the default pack. I think that has to do with the forge rendering thing you can do with items to make them look way bigging in 3rd person. And the textures are stuffed because you are running HD mod items with a low res main pack. It's not supposed to work like that. You actually need this pack to make them work properly. Or i think you need atleast a 64x pack. Not sure. But yeah. And have you patched the game or installed optifine? You need to if you haven't. That may or may not fix your issue.

Yeah, I'm not entirely sure what would be causing the problems, other than these suggestions.
I just made the textures themselves; everything else was Zomb69's work; So I'll try and see if he has any ideas.
From the sounds of it though, it seems like BG simply rescales its textures based on the size of your texturepack's items.png
(Can anyone confirm this?)

I asked my friend to look at minecraft's coding in terms of texture packs and if you have items that aren't in the original items.png the game will try to render them in 3d as if they were the size of the tp you're using causing weird glitches. The spear is split into two parts in the texture file; however they have to aline properly ingame, the textures simply aren't lined up properly. (It should be easy to fix.)

Thought so.
Just take the items.png from an HD texturepack and place it into your current texturepack.

Sweet! it's still a while off, but remember to let me know what you think of it in its full glory!
Also, for anyone that missed it, I added a quick HD font, available on the previous page!
Thanks! That fixed the weird battleaxe glitch, however the spears when in f5 mode have a crack in them. Due to the forge rendering you have to have 2 pieces of the sprite. The pieces don't aline properly, just ask Zomb to fix it.
i installed the hd version and everything worked great exept the items and the armor i love the hd and animation can someone help me fix it the items just look like white squars i got optifine multicore
btw: best texture pack!!! and love the way you stay close to help everyones problems you are beast same as your textures
Love the update. I'm not sure if you don't plan on the pentagram and stuff on the enchantment table but I am just saying it here as a reminder as to what you said you were thinking of with the last update. The wools definately seem a lot brighter which I like a lot. Not too sure about the sand yet but I will see if it grows on me. Melons look absolutely amazing though as well as the cake. Keep up the good work and then I have time I will get more screenshots to you. Have been quite busy lately so I havent ben able to sit down and finish my builds but they will be here when they are done.

thats just how they are.... i will have a look see if it can be better.
i have created beta 2.1 32x and 64x ports as well as blood rain but am having trouble uploading, i have no internet at home atm.

D'oh! I knew there was something I had forgotten! Alt enchanting table will be included in the next one!
Also, I haven't had a chance to play with the new sand much yet either. The little bit I saw of it ingame, it did look better at a distance (which was the main problem with the original). Everything's still open to re-working though.

thanks Doom for the awesome update!
No problem. Thanks for all the work with the ports and such! (and no rush, dude)
EDIT: Ok, updated the links in the OP!
(I threw the blood rain one on an ad.fly link because its easier to change the links directly on their website than it is to fiddle with the thread's HTML every update)

For anyone interested, minecraft youtuber and e-buddy of mine McKrawll has done an almost hour long review of vDC 2.0 and... it's about as scathing as one could imagine.
To be fair, it looks like they had a good time making the video, and I know Youtube loves people rubbing their asses on other peoples' works; But I found the entire affair pretty insulting.
Anywho... it's an hour-long video of vonDoomCraft... so... yeah... enjoy?
I love this texture pack, yet it is a little buggy.
My only complaint is that when I leave minecraft
leaving the pack on, when I try to log in later my minecraft
always stops responding and before I get the mojang screen I have
to wait 5 or 10 minutes. If there is a way you can change that by modding your
texture pack, please do so, cause I don't wanna wait 25 minutes to get the mojang screen.

It's not a bug. That happens with ALL HD packs. Because minecraft by default loads small image files. So it takes longer to load much larger files. And getting a better pc might help too

Thanks, mate.
I might get a new PC soon so It might work better.
I see what you mean now, because I have misa's realistic pack
and It took a while to load
Thanks for the info

Wheetlio, I'm not sure if you were trying the full pack or not, but I'd try out one of the lower resolution ports Zomb just finished.
As far as I've been told, they don't have all the fancy features of the full pack, but at this point people with Optifine have like 3 different sets of working features and MCPatcher has its own; So until the two decide to quit dicking around and just merge for the sake of the community, pretty much no one gets all the features at once anyways.
(I believ there's a way to install them both and have most of them work, but I've never seen the instructions to do so (if anyone can list them out, I'd be supremely grateful!), and as such can't confirm it makes everything work.
EmperorDoom 2.1 looks amazing!!! the only bad thing is that the download is messed up, as in it wont let me download the last 1mb can you please re upload it?

for some reason the media fire link doesnt work for 2.1 beta
Thanks guys! I've updated the links as well as the actual file on Meiafire, so hopefully it's all set now.
Please let me know if there are any further problems with the downloads!
If only these textures could be made available for the XBox360 Edition!
I'd be more than happy to have vDC on Xbox. i just no idea how to go about it, nor what features would ever work on Xbox.
Once the pack's pretty much complete, I'll worry about an Xbox port.
Anywho, I threw a new video review up in the OP with a nice look and description of most of the various doodads in vDC.
the way they are talking... speculation mostly... once the api is complete they will have dlc texture packs... but nobody has actually confirmed it as far as I've seen. they said they would like to but most likely they wont ever make anything other than 16x available unfortunately.
edit: and if anyone has different info, please correct me...omg please! lol

Meh. Stuff like this is why I largely ignore Minecraft news.
Though I'm not about to throw a hissyfit over the subject, it is still ridiculous that mojang has become this little independent game company and have the Bukkit teak tossing in every little feature the fans basically threw together the day they were allowed; but still have absolutely no "hd" texture support.
Are they still sticking with the "people will draw dicks" defense instead of just saying "we're not very good at optimization yet" ?
It probably doesn't help that the only community interactions I really see from them are dominated by singular, non-community super-fans and the like.
I've seen the YouTube-Video from mcKrawll which you have linked one side before. That arrange me to sign up this forum for tell you:" Don't get discouraged!" It is theirs opinion but to scoff about something, what they can't make better is easy and silly together. The are unable to see how much work are in these Texture Pack and they are not in the ability to show your absolute great mobs, too. I've been a huge fan from your Texture Pack since v1.5 and I see it grow. So please keep up this great work!... and sorry for my bad english!
Thank you very much! Your English is perfectly readable (and I love the use of the word "scoff").
Don't worry though, it has not discouraged me. McKrawll is actually a friend, so there are no ill feelings. The whole thing just came as a shock, but it's understandable how a first video with a new friend could easily turn into a "fratboy romp", if you understand my meaning.
On a positive note, I have found that if you mute the sound from the video and accompany the video with an hour-long loop of Benny Hill music, it provides a nice look at the pack as well as drive one to thoughts of suicide!
