ok 32x is done starting the 64x now. this time i am more familiar with animations so they all work(except the sword) even at 32x. it will take me another hr to do the 64x port and test it i'm glad you guys appreciate these ports- they really turned out good even the 32x , i though to much detail would be lost but it actually looks good - you can still tell its vondoomcraft. i'll keep you posted.
btw x64 port so far had 1000 downloads!
.......i have pm emperor doom with updated 1.8 64x and 32x ports. so they should be on main page shortly flat 128x comes soon.

Anyway, I am really reallyreally really sorry.
I saw that 32x textures had been done, and I was wondering how 16x would turn out.
I just resized the terrain.png and...
It doesn't look completely horrible.

EDIT: More pictures:
This is why I have a computer that can run 128 + texture packs. The 16 port looks very pixled. But never the less this will make vonDoomCraft more popular hopefully seeing as more people should be able to use it now.
Hmmm.
You know, to be honest, right now I could go either way on a 16x version.
Yeah, it might help to spread the word a bit... but honestly, it loses so much quality that I'm not sure I'd want my name stamped on it.
I think folks would probably be better off using whatever 16x pack they want and just adding my HD mobs.
Anywho, thanks for the attempt!!
I'll think it over a bit and get back to you when I get out of work today.

thats why i didnt do 16x too much loss of detail etc. i wasnt even going to do the 32x at first but it turned out ok
I think my Enderman is missing some of the animations :l
I suspected there might be a few problems like that.
What shows up depends on what HD texture mod you use.
MCPatcher- all the animated bits will show up fine. Even at a distance.
Optifine (most of the newer ones)- Animations will show up, but only within like 10 blocks from the player.
Optifine AA - Only terrain and simple item animation work.
I'm going to keep the textures as they are and hope that Optifine catches up with MCPatcher on the animations.

I use OptiFine HD B2 Smooth, and I believe that is the best one, sooo.. 1 question, does Optifine and MCPatcher work over eachother? Because I need the FPS boost from Optifine, but I also want all the animations to work.

The Optifine thread seems to suggest so, but I haven't been able to get it to work.
Right now I just use Magic Launcher to pick between the three. Though, I've been using the Ptifine AA, and vDC looks amazing with full anti-aliasing & antroscopic filtering!
If I get it figured out, I'll let everyone know!
If anyone else does, please do the same.
Uhm, This may be a bug with the 64x but when breaking a chest/some other blocks/ sprinting on them and sprinting in general it gives you the wrong particle effect.
i use mcpatcher + optifine (disabled mcpacher files)
and all animations are shown
Oh snap!
Would you happen to remember any details of the installation?
Which you installed first, which had to be manually added into the jar, etc?
Either way, I'll toy around with it after I'm out of work today and let everyone know if I hit the sweet-spot between MCP/Opti.
On another note, last night I threw together an HD Taskmaster skin for my brother to use.
how would you folks feel if I used most of the face to redo the skeletons?
the eyeballs and nose would be different; As well as having more detail added.
(And yeah, I'm totally updating my HD Deadpool to match this one better, and stay up with his current comic book style)
Don't get me wrong, they look great. But I still prefer the original ones. These are my favorite mobs in the pack. Or at least make the original an alternate texture
I'll probably keep the original in as one of the randomobs.
Keep in mind, the new ones will still look 90% or so like the old ones. It's mainly the shape of the eyes, nose, and mouth that bother me about them. The rest of the old details should stay in place.
But yeah, you may be right. I'm probably going to have to try a few different things (mostly involving the transparency to shape the skull), and decide if it works or not.
Here it is ingame, for a better idea.
Keep in mind, Taskmaster's skull is set to the inner layer. the skull's would be mostly outer (like the current one).
(Any Taskmaster fans can grab the HD skin now!)
On another note, I'm trying to get a video together for vDC and I'm having a hell of a time.
Framerate is inconsistant and Fraps only wants tom record about 10 seconds at a time.
Does anyone know a good videocapture program without a giant watermark?
More importantly, are there any good video creation mods for Minecraft?
I swear I remember one that set a constant framerate for matching up with the video capture, but I can't seem to find it.

Alrighty, it's all set!
The links to the new lower res ports are up, and the thread's been updated!
Once again, big thanks to Zomb69 for his work with the ports, and helping folks out in general!!

Thank you.

I haven't tried it ingame, but it looks like it should be cool!
