Alright, so it's looking like I'm not going to be able to get as much new stuff done as I'd hoped.
Aside from all the mob stuff, I've fixed the non-CTM glass, added an animated underwater effect, added the light blocks (the "on" one is animated), added the cocoa beans... and some other new blocks I can't remember...
Anyway, I'm gonna try and tweak some things with the GUI and that'll probably be the extent of this update. I've got to spend the rest of the day updating all the old screenshots, updating websites, moving stuff between new hosts, etc.
I'm gonna keep working on some small stuff through the week though, so there should be another one coming up next weekend as well!
Awesome, Zomb. I'll add it to the OP tomorrow, when i have to do all the uploading and thread changes anyways.

absolutely amazing... thanks doom cant wait. that lamp looks great will look good in my dance floor!! and all the updated/new mobs love it. i love that cathedral lookin pic that looks like a really nice build.
also can someone edit a 64x so that the thors hammer is the daimond sword?

ok here is the .png files, place them in the texpack (items.png goes in gui folder). in the animation folder you will need to delete both the sword animations. for the hammer animation just change the 65 to 67 in the .properties file replace custom_item_65 with custom_item_67.

- New RandomMobs for the Slimes and Zombies! (very cool!)

I just spent like 5 hours updating file hosts, e-mail addresses, consolidation ad.fly links, taking screenshots, and HTMLing up this and various threads...
I'm in no rush to update it right this sec.
Hopefully, this should all make it much easier to update links with future releases. now i just have to update the file links through Ad.Fly, instead of changing the link on every damn page that has vDC crap. (plus, all those random site out there that post about it and never update should now have ever-updating links; Keeping everyone up to date.)

This pack is awesome, but i just with that you focus more on the must have stuff first..
There should be priority..
E.g.
An enchantment table is a must have texture..
Animation for mobs or remaking the mobs should come after making the most important textures..

they are very cool zombies, i was just checking them out in-game also. i love the asylum one.

I actually cobbled together another zombie Alt based on "Wormwood: Gentleman Corpse", about an hour after the release.
I'll include him in the next one; and possibly even more zombies (I'm having more fun with these zombies than I have any other part of the pack)
This pack is awesome, but i just with that you focus more on the must have stuff first..

I definitely get where you're coming from on this one. I actually do have a list of priority textures (I've been asking folks which default annoy them the most, basically).
There's just a number of little reasons they sometimes don't get done first.
- Some blocks (like the enchanting table), I'd rather wait to do until I have a cool original idea for them.
- When making the textures, I have to group which ones I'll be making together, based on shared resources.
(IE, creating all the iron stuff at once because they share parts)
- The MCPatcher/optifine folks are constantly adding in new little things you can add to textures that I'd like to experiment with before forgetting (animations, randommobs, etc)
- My server's been down for something like 4 months now. Frankly, it's kind of hard staying inspired to do work for a game you don't play; so I work on what textures I am inspired to do at the time.
(FYI, I am looking for a nice, small-to-medium server with good folks! If anyone's got one with an opening, please let me know!)
As for this specific update; well, it's a special case.
Let's not forget that vDC started out as nothing but mobs (Specifically the Zombie)!
So,as long as any one may have been waiting for a specific piece of terrain or whatever, there's folks that have waited even longer for an Enderman.

That type of flower is gonna be a must once I get around to looking up and fiddling with randomtextures!
I really do need to do some research on RT. I'd, love to have some randomized Grass with little flowers, dirt patches, and random dried bones. Kind of like the map-Editor textures for Warcraft 2; if that means anything to anyone.
OH! On another note, I remembered those other textures that I included in 1.8!
-The 3-d cocoa beans are done. (I didn't test them ingame, as I don't have that snapshot. hopefully they look okay)
- The char.png was upscaled to 1028x512, and more details added; to fit the mobs.
