Before I head off to bed, here's a quick preview of what I got done on the Skeleton today.
The detail-scribbles were just copied from the Zombie skin to give more idea of what it'll look like.
any plans making texture for the morecreeps and weirdos mod in the future if you use that mod
Not really. I had that mod installed for a bit, but it gave me more problems than it was worth so I ended up getting rid of it. I did like the hunchback though. I think if, down the road, the mod was bug-free enough to warrant reinstalling, I'd at least make a skin for the Hunchback.

Bump for status check on the greatest mobs ever created.
Unfortunately, I didn't get much time to work on the skins this past weekend (had work, family stuff, and bought a car) and I'm quite busy for the next week or so; but I'm sitting down to work on the Skeleton right now, so I imagine the next release shouldn't be any later than Monday, at the latest.
The basics are all set.
I need to resize the leg and arm texture bits, as they're half the size I expected.
Other than that, it should just be shading and scribbles (the current ones are placeholders from the zombie), and he's done.
Also, I'd like to thank all of the roughly 2,600 downloaders for trying these skins out!!
Hopefully you'll all still be Minecrafting once this whole pack is set!
Once your done with the skeleton and slime, what's your next plan?
Not a lot of mobs in default Minecraft at the moment.
Cheers
Zombie Pigmen, Spiders, and Ghasts!
After than, I want to make a cartoony HD Master Chief player-skin and finish up the Halo HUD I've been working on. I'll release it as a mini-pack once it's all done.

I love these skins, especially the creeper. They're all really well thought out and executed.
I don't think I'll end up using them, though....too much lag. And they don't really match any of the texture packs I'm currently working on.
That said, I'm very excited to see what the ghasts and things look like! You should do passive mobs too-- those would be awesome.
Glad you like 'em, even if you don't use them!
Passive mobs are something I'm thinking over right now. Individually, they're all pretty easy; but to do them all would be pretty time consuming. As such, they're not high on my priority list, but they are on there!

VERSION 2.0 IS AVAILABLE!
New Skeletons!
Fixed Slimes!

Nope.
Follow the relatively simple instructions in the readme, and you can add these to any sized texturepack.
Sorry, I posted that and them immediately edited it because I realized it was a stupid question. I guess you replied before the forum updated my post. I did read the instructions but after only getting it to work with super HD texture packs I was just wondering if there was some special case or something. I have it working now even with 16x texture packs and I really like it. Also the skeleton looks great.
Lovin' it. If I give you diamonds will you put the passive mobiles higher on your priority list?
Honestly, there's a very good chance I'll do the passive mobs once I'm done with the Halo minipack (which isn't as extensive as this pack, so shouldn't take that long). The first will most likely be the Pig, so I can make it match the Zombie Pigman which I have to do. I have no idea what sort of time frame we're looking at though, so I don't want to make any promises.

Heh. It's no problem.
I'm glad you got them working, and hope you enjoy using them!
As a side note, I think I'm going to do the Ghast next.
It'll be the most fun, and less of a pain in the ass than the Pigman or Spider (which i haven't even sketched yet).
Wow! These are absolutely amazing! The detail on these are absolutely incredible! I am in love with the slimes.
Great Work, man. I'm looking forward to see the spider & pigmen.
i'm installing this right now, but i looked at the files, and theres no spider, PLEASE add a spider because i want a HD spider and i want to scare the s*** out of my brother (He plays minecraft too)

It should include fixed Slimes and new Skeletons!

Great Work, man. I'm looking forward to see the spider & pigmen.
That's some nice wiring you have there...
