Almost forgot to say thanks to everyone that posted and gave suggestions! They're always welcome!
Also, I'm in need of some neat screenshots or videos of the skins!
If any of you fine folk submit some, I'll post them in the original post with credits.
Just letting everyone know that these are compatible with the new 1.5 update!
The pack's current smallness keeps it pretty safe as far as update problems go.
Also, I made some buttons which anyone can add to their signatures to show support for these mobs!
Full size:
And these four parts you can place together however you want:
Want just a neat looking slime for your sig? You got it!
Want all three mobs with or without the logo? Yooou got it!
Fun, eh?
Feel free to suggest any others you'd want, or to make your own!
Thanks everyone! Don't forget to post your comments/criticism after you've used the pack a bit!
I've got over 100 downloads, and little to no usable critiques to make it better in the future...

looks great but mediafire is being retarded for me it's just "processing download request"
Mediafire was going slow for some reason; Seems to be fixed now.
Just in case, I've put up two more download locations.

Can someone please add these mobs to a Texture Pack and re-upload it for me? (just pm me it..) I can't seem to get it to work. It's probably real easy, but, me being on a MAc and all... >.<
Doku fantasy Craft preferably.
If you have a texturepack you're already using, simply replace your current texture pack's Zombie.png, Creeper.png, and Slime.png (if your pack already has them) with the ones from vonDoomCraft.
Then use the HD texture fix to allow HD textures in minecraft, if you haven't already.

i'm on a mac and it's really easy just unzip your texture pack go to mob and replace some pics in there with vondoom then select everything in the folder you got when you unzipped and right click and select compress then you should get archive.zip just rename that to anything and move it to texturepacks
I saw you wanted some constructive criticism. All of them are great. I dont so much use the zombie one at the moment because I usually use the "Zelda Sounds Mod" and I use a different mob for that. I think it just goes better with the sound effects but I'm thinking about switching it back to the zombie due the skin being fantastic. I'd prefer it without all the clothes, but I definitely like the style. I'm not sure how to explain it, but it you could I would make the slime a bit less transparent and perhaps a bit darker green but not too much. The creeper is perfect imo.
I know you were asking for ideas for skins for the zombie pigmen. I think you should possibly model them off something similar to the soldiers in zelda (Ganons Soldiers). Not make them exactly like them, just something similar. The skeletons as I said before would be great still as skeletons. However, I think they would look better perhaps with some armor or something. Maybe tattered clothing? Gargoyle looking creatures would be a great substitute for the skeletons as well.
Let me know what you think! Hope this helps.
Maybe a cross between this Skeleton Archer: and this Skeleton Soldier:
Good use of the soldier's tattered clothing and obviously the archer's features.
This Pigman is definitely a winner:
And lastly the Spider:

You're absolutely right about the Slimes. I'll fiddle with the color and transparency for the next release!
As far as Zombie clothes go, I may make some alternate skins later on, but I want to get the hostile mobs and maybe pig done first.

Not bad ideas at all! The Moglin (or whatever the Ganon dudes were called) idea really stands out. I may use some borrow some of their characteristics for an alt texture later on.

Those skeletons are both awesome. Especially the archer!
The spider really has a cool look to it too! I'm not sure what to do with the Spider yet... their main recognizable attribute is their eyes though, so if they look cool, the whole thing will be okay.
I've decided to keep it basic with the Skeletons and Pigmen to begin with, and make them both standard skeletons and pig-mutants. I've also got some sketches done of what I want the Ghast to look like. I'll try and post them if I can; but I don't have a scanner available., so I'll have to figure something out.

Definetly think Skeleton Archer should be next on your list. AS they are kinda like... More.. Around, then MOST of the mobs. Also! Sounds! >:biggrin.gif:
Aaa! Also Spiders! Anyways. Damn awesome mate. Would love to see some status updates
Skeletons are most likely going to be next!
I'd also love to do some sounds at some point, but it's something I'll look into later on down the line.
Perhaps old school Resident Evil 1 style sounds for zombies?
I was actually thinking Tarman from Return of the Living Dead (best movie ever made!):
Anywho, I used my digital camera and uploaded the sketches I did at work for upcoming mobs...
Skeletons... with special attention paid to transparency.
Pigmen... complete with snot, mouth-foam, and all sorts of ugliness.
I'll make a Zombie version if they ever add the regular pigmen into the game and there needs to be a distinction.
Ghasts... what needs to be said?
...and another shot of the ghast, with a bit of the side visible to give you a better idea.
There's also some ideas for particles.png in there.
Not without a new model. the Creeper model is actually a messed pig model from early in development, so it's fake-piggy-arms are already in use as the creeper's legs.
Responded to the e-mail.

haha i just notice the nipples on the pigmen, your attention to detail is awesome haha
Thanks dude!
I toyed with the idea of adding genitalia too... until about 5 minutes ago when I realized it's an all-ages-type game.

GOD These are AWESOME!
You ever thought of making a full-fledged texture pack with this style?
You could probably make the best 256x Pack at this rate. (Giving many a reason to use 256x)
Cheers! *Bookmarked*
I've thought about it, but I think it would look too busy with millions of thick black outlines everywhere.
I want to do more than just the mobs in this style, but I think I'll release any other stuff as mini-packs.
Well "Minecraft - 4kids" has a really REALLY similar style as you do, and even with it's thin but noticeable black lines it's extremely popular and awesome!
I think a 256x Texture pack would be amazing with or without thick lines.
I just applied these mobs to the 4Kids texture pack, and it works great :biggrin.gif: No resizing needed!
it just kind of occurred to me that i couldn't do a full texture pack at the moment, whether I wanted to or not. my computer can't handle minecraft with 256x packs, so I couldn't really do any testing if I was to make one now.
Also, as far as I've seen there's no real limits on mixing and matching different texture sizes.
I hear that the old HD patcher had limits, but I could never get that one to work, so I have no idea.

Honestly, I think if you made a complete texture patch, with the nude monsters or whatever, and just made it hte first 'RATED R' Skin or something. you could pull it off. If it's Horror then, hell, your trying to scare people.
Thanks for the reply btw!
Probably.
I think I'll keep this one penis free at the moment though.
And no problem!

Pull what off?
Pig dicks. Don't ask.

Should make the Spiders black widows.
Also, I love the ghast drawing, made me pull out my paper and pencil to draw some.
I don't think I'll make them into any one specific type of real spiders, but I definitely plan on adding some sort of big red marking to its back. Probably a skull or something.

Loving the work. Can't wait for the next mob =D
Glad you like 'em, dude!
Hopefully I'll get some work done on the skeleton this weekend and have a new release fairly soon.

i was thinking about the pigmen earlier and had an idea, have you thought about possibly trying to give the pigmen some sort of earring or nipple ring or something, i think its a simple idea but would really add alot to the texture. just an idea though lol
Funny you should say that.
I was planning on giving them ear tags; Maybe with a little Mojang logo or something.
Before I head off to bed, here's a quick preview of what I got done on the Skeleton today.
The detail-scribbles were just copied from the Zombie skin to give more idea of what it'll look like.
vonDoomCraft: HD Mobs initial release is now available for download.
And just in time, it would seem...
Not a bad idea.
Maybe some day; But I'm not convinced it would look good.
Drop me a PM and I'll send you my shipping address. How many babies you got?
