ok tested 512x everything in gui folder with 128x terrain... lag when loading game, minimal - no lag ingame (however i did need a .bat launcher for more mem)
I'm going to download this and test it tomorrow and will let you know what think.
I can already tell from the screenshots that you have a mild pattern tiling issue on your smooth stone. I need to see it in game to tell if it is obnoxious enough to worry about though.

OH my god this one of the best!!!! please keep working on it! it looks like Bordercraft but even better! Also add more animated textures. Soulsand and glowstone are awesome! Great work!
So, after a 15 minute cursory test run I must say that this is a very well made pack and will most likely take the place of bordercraft on my list of packs. The only thing that pisses me off at this moment is that is isn't finished.
Considering how long you've been working on this, however, you have made exemplary progress. I do have a few suggestions for touch ups when you get around to it. Textures like smoothstone, sand stone and sand all have minor pattern tiling. By that I mean the pattern that you created on the texture tile creates a visible pattern when the tile is seen in large amounts. This isn't a huge problem as it is not overpowering but it is something that could be improved when you get to that point (ie when you have finished everything else. )
Overall I am rather enjoying your pack. I'm glad you finally got around to filling out the rest of it.
New sword looks amazing. Can't wait to see the animated version. Also can't wait to see what the sun will look like after seeing the moon texture.
I don't think I'm going to do much with the sun, in that I don't think it'll have a face and such.
The way Minecraft attempts to use the sun as a light source, it means that anything I drew for a face would only be visible at sunset and sunup.
So, 95% chance of no face, but I'll try and some style to it either way!
Congratulations to you for Minecraft Monday =)
Am I the only one who mean that Skeletor is way too short? It looks more like a dagger as a sword
Thank you!
yeah, that's what happens when you're restrained to a tiny square canvas and have to draw something as long as a sword.
Also, a lot of it is simply the fact that it has such a wide blade large handle/handguard.
Originally, I had given it a smaller handle, but it just didn't look right in third person. As it is, I love the way the little diamond on the end shows from other side of a person's hand when they're holding it.
So basically, it came down to whether I wanted it to look awkward and lose a lot of detail to get it to a regular size, or have it of more cartoonish proportions. i just chose the latter.

Cool. thanks for testing that out!
Hmm. I think I'll avoid any 512 textures then. Most people will never figure out how to get it to work.
Those items look great, doom. I wouldnt change too many of them, I love them just as they are
Any of them that I do replace, I'll be sure to keep in the pack as alternate textures, even the crappy gold/diamond ones I have in there now!
I wouldn't expect too many of them to stay as the pack's defaults though. I want to remake all the gold and diamond tools, the stone sword, and the iron sword.
Hey I made an updated video of your texture pack! Here it is!
Very cool! I love how much effort you put into actually showing the textures! most reviewers that i've seen just go "that looks nice!" and show it for half a second.
If it's cool with you, may I add it to the OP of the thread?
Also, yes, give Optifine a try if you can! It made a remarkable difference in playability on my old computer.
ehmm master doom, what do u plan as iron golem? an original frankenstein would be amazing
I've actually been considering doing a Frankenstein's Creature for the Iron Golem! The shape, and flower giving, is absolutely perfect for him!
I've got three great Golem ideas that I'd love to do: Doombots, Man-Thing, and Frankenstein.
Doombots will fit the pack better, so I'll do them first, and hopefully get around to the others once I'm done with most of the pack and move back into the Mobs.
OH my god this one of the best!!!! please keep working on it! it looks like Bordercraft but even better! Also add more animated textures. Soulsand and glowstone are awesome! Great work!
Glad you like them! The glowstone was just a test, so it'll be replaced sooner or later, but I do plan on having more animations in the pack! (Though I think I'll keep it mostly to the items. Animated terrain textures seem to lag a lot of folks)

Why thanks dude! I appreciate you taking the time to actually check it out ingame and give critiques!
As for the tiling issues, I'm fully aware of them.
I don't think the Sandstone looks bad, but I do plan on remaking the Sand and Smoothstone (I have to remake them anyways, once I get to the 256x version. All my original textures were saved at 128x).
The Sand is a bit Bleh, and I need to tone down the contrast and fix the coloring to give it a more natural wave.
The smoothstone is a bit of a problem though. When originally making it, I did a LOT of toying with different linework to get the tiling somewhere I was happy-enough with. Basically, it comes down to this:
The only ways to make it tile without ANY repetition is to either have absolutely no linework (which doesn't fit the pack), or to cover most of it in lines (which looks like ****). The current texture is the happy medium.
it's not prefect, and hopefully I can do better next time around, but I still think it's better than most of the stone textures out there, so I'm okay with it for now.
Have I really been making good progress? I honestly didn't know.
I work fulltime, so I usually only get to work on these on weekends. I've been spending all 48 hours strictly texturing and such (I haven't even really PLAYED Minecraft in months!), trying to get together a new release for everyone. As it stands, I'd like to be able to have a weekly release for everyone, but there some weeks I just don't get enough done to warrant it. I'm trying my damnest to at least have something released every 2 weeks though!
Not sure what the standard waiting time is for packs, but to be completely honest, most of the artists on here don't spend up to 7 hours on a single block texture; so hopefully people aren't to disappointed if it seems like the pack is taking forever. (not that it'll ever be officially "done", until Mojang stop adding new stuff)
Sadly it seems that my pc can't handle 256x tp, so i'll wait until you relase a full 128x version or a 64x... In the meantime i'll post some suggestion here!
Actually, the pack is 128x. Right now, only the Items are at 256x .
Although i do plan on eventually making a 64x version, in the meantime I'd suggest that you try running it with Optifine and remove some of the animated textures. It seems to be working for some other folks.
And please do! Any suggestions/cool ideas/whatever are always welcome!!
As much as the pack has become my artistic baby/borderline obsession, I'm doing my best to stay open with the community about it; if you know what I mean. There's no point in me even making them if they're just for me; you know?
Plus, I still feel kind of guilty about leaving for 6 months or so when I had so many folks waiting for new textures.
So yeah. The pack is just as much for all you guys as it is for me! (if not moreso)
Please let know any ideas you might have! I might not alwayds do them, but I
ll always read them!
(Here anyways. I don't read most of the crap on PlanetMinecraft)
As always, thank to everyone for the great comments and criticisms!

i agree you are making awesome progress.... i think we all appreciate your work and love these textures. 7 hrs on a single block is amazing effort and if thats what it takes for the best then i can wait for the best. thanks emperor doom you rock!

So i was exploring the night and i saw this D: scary **** right there. Also absolutely loving the diamond sword! And Emperor, do you have textures for the square rei's minimap?
This Texture Pack looks pretty cool
Unfortunately it doesn't work for me :/
I use the McPatcher (newest Version) and then i select the Texturepack.
But most of the Blocks and Weapons are blank white Blocks.
I don't know what i doing wrong :/
I want to download it again but it dont goes...
The MediaFire download don't work D: (Or is it only me?)
If i klick Download at MediaFire it come the Message "Oops! This Link does not work!"
Hey everybody!
As always, thanks for the comments!
Don't feel like quoting a bunch, so I'll make this one brief.
- No square map yet. I was going to hold off on that until I had the HUD better planned out (as I can use parts for one from the other)
I'll try and push that along for the next release though!
@ Loki - that sounds very odd. I haven't run across an error like that before. My guess is that Mediafire messed something up and you only downloaded part of the pack...?
The Mediafire link seems to be working for me at the moment, so all I can think to suggest is that you try the DL again when you can.
@ Gillethor - I should probably have warned everyone that I don't respond well to having my art called "gay".
You've pretty much single-handedly ensured that I make the Diamond tools into double-sided dildos and paintings into erotic photos of John Waters.
@Emporer Doom:
Thank you for you're Support
Yea, it can be, that i only download a part of the pack... i don't know what's wrong *sigh*
..."Oops! It seems this Link does not work!"... :/
It seems that i'm the only Person with this Problem... I will test the download on my Brothers pc.
If this doesn'work i will see if i can download you're Pack at an other Site
I will become this Texturepack

Edit:
I don't know how many times i try to download this Pack.
At the End it goes
I musst add it to my files and from this Folder i musst download it.
When the download is complete i will delete it from my MediaFire Account files.
Epic!!! But could you make a x64 or similar, please, I need the awesome looking stuff in my game, i have a crappy computer so i lag a lot when using 128x128x...
