Not yet, though they were created at 256.
I'm gonna focus on the 128x version first, but create each new texture at 256x. Then, once the terrain is done, make the 256x version.
I don't want to work on both at the same tim because it's just too daunting. For a fully 256x terrain, I have to recreate most of the textures I already had finished, plus make a large number of extra edits to each block I work on (recreating the little squiggles for each resolution, for example)
For what it's worth, I'm gonna see just how many 256x textures I can toss in there that aren't the terrain.
On another note, it looks like I may have the tools done by tomorrow!
I wasn't going to, but just for playability, I may toss in placeholder gold and diamond tools. They'll just be recolored iron tools though, so I may just add little "placeholder" brands to them or something to get the point across.
Haven't done glass yet. I'm still trying to come up with a good concept for it. All I know is that I don't want to have a border around it, so tiling won't be an issue with large windows.

edit after quick look b4 work: you know you are THE BEST TEXTURE ARTIST!! the moon is awesome as its coming over the horizon .. excellent. havent seen phases yet will have to wait till this arvo. the 256x bow and items was a brilliant idea! i notice no lag. the bow looks alot better now, before the lights weren't so great, now they look perfect, more detail. everything sofar i love (except maybe spear but i assume that is placeholder?)(i forgot about possible chainsaw so stone spear is ok)

I'd love to see a mob that looked like that, but I doubt I'll be making it. I'm trying to have the pack be all original stuff (gonna be phasing out the paintings, Creeper and such as I get to them) once finished.
They look Great. The gold and diamond tools dont look too bad either.
As for the window situation, you could make it with a border, but create a connected textures mod png. This would allow you to create it easier, whilst not making huge windows look horrid. (the mod is now part of optifine as well)
It also allows bookshelves to connect as well.
Whatever you choose it will look great amazing.
I'm gonna have to make connected textures as I get to the glass and bookshelves, if only because it's built into Optifine now. I think I'll still keep it borderless though, and only use some thin metal bits for the window design. (IE, now drawn in white blobs to simulate glass)

That IS a cool idea, but I think it would be better suited for a 32x texturepack.
The Glass doesn't allow partial-transparency, so the cracks would all look pixelated. I think it would probably end up looking like a spider web.
In a lower resolution pack though, it could work.
I LOVE the gold cleaver you should definiatly leave it that colour!
All the gold and diamond stuff will be replaced over time. I'll probably redo the Iron & Stone swords too, just to be cooler items; But I'll keep the current ones in there as alternates!
You will have to place them in the Items.png yourself, but I think I'll add instructions to the zip and a single pixel in the top and bottom corners of the alternate textures, to make it easier to line them up.

I love the lighter, plant and moon. The tools are all really good as well.

It's like, here's some tattoo-looking flames. Now make them move so it looks realistic, but don't just have the flame tendrils wiggle because that would look ridiculous.

Soon I'm going to try amnd remake the planks, so I can use their parts for the other main bits like the Chests and tables and such. With most of the basic stuff done, it'll be much more playable!

Glad the moon worked out. It was the last thing I finished before bed and my regular server is down, so I haven't even tested it ingame yet.
I did make it pretty huge though, so I'm hoping it shows up as awesomely as I imagine it will.
Yeah, the spear's a placeholder. I'm having fun with the weapons, so I may just keep tossing together random ones and adding them to the folder of alternate textures!
The stone spear will probably be replaced with a new Mjolnir. The Diamond one will be replaced with the Skeletor sword.
I think they work well enough for placeholders though. Ditto on the gold and diamond crap.
And yeah, the lighter! I know a couple other packs have done a Zippo for the flint & iron; but really, what's more perfect?
A Bic light would look bland.
One of those long fireplace lighters would look like a sex toy.
A little flamethrower would look neat until you use it, and look goofy in third person.
I think it stands out enough though.

i worked out that particle textures can be up to 512x with no lag as well (in a 128x pack)

I could go 512x with them, but I fear that it may effect low end computers when you have a field of fire, or anything with a lot of smoke. Plus, I'm not sure I want to put that much time into the particles.
I'll definitely do them in 256x though! I just have to do the semi-animated potion smoke thing (the swirl, but I'm thinking of having it as a smoke skull that fades breaks apart real cool), and figure out what the hell some of the bits on the texture are, and I'll finish up/redo the particles.
I was also thinking of doing the HUD stuff at 512x, but I'm pretty sure 256x is actual size, so it would have to downscale... anyone know for sure?
On another note, whenever I can get the next release out, I'm going to try and fit Mjolnir, the Skeletor sword, and at least one window texture in there! (I have 3 pretty easy ideas for windows, so I may pick the best for the default one ad throw the other two in as alternates)

Alright, so I started out just messing around, and ended up accidentally finishing the Skeletor sword.
It's not animated yet, but the main texture's finished. When completely done, the little pink runes will glow.
Until the next release comes around, I figured this one was too neat to keep to myself.
So here's the texture to try out yourself! Just rename it to items.png and pop it into your vonDoomCraft "gui" folder!
