man you are AWESOME!!!!... everything is excellent so far - love it......
waiting for paypal to proccess funds (3-5days), first donation for now will be $20 first but not last - you bring a certain quality that surpasses all others!! well done
,you're probably not gonna be able to appreciate the furnace/cremator... (why has no one done this before?)
On a serious note, thanks so much for the donation, Zomb!
I try not ram the donation buttons down folks throats, but honestly every little bit does help a lot!
So really, thank you (and everyone else) so much for any donations, as well as your continued support of vonDoomCraft! It means a lot.
Also, I love the screens! I haven't seen the pack with the HD water mod yet, as I gave up on it pretty early; after realizing it wouldn't work with any of my mods. Looks very cool though!
Gonna have to do something about those ugly bricks for the next update...
And yeah, I manage to fit some skulls in.
Actually, I think I've already fit in more skulls than most finished texturepacks (although, I seem to remember there being a "skullcraft...?"). Hell, the Spiders have 3 if you look close enough...

I love your texture pack your mob skins and your HD player skins.... I love everything you have done. Hope you keep the tp updated because it's the only one i use.
Wow these really are amazing textures.
Sadly i cannot use the beta pack as i can only run 64x texture packs.
I did give it a try however and it looked very nice. In my opinion though, you should add more flashing lights on the bow.
Other than that i will only be able to give feedback from the images now though. Keep going, i really cant wait for it to be released now!
Like I've mention before, I'm gonna try and do a 64x version; probably once the terrain is complete. I can't really put a timeframe on it yet, but I think I'm cruising along on the terrain when you consider the amount of effort going into each block. So it'll be a bit of a wait, but it is a priority for me!
Also, feedback based on the screens is more than appreciated!! That's why I post 'em!
Honestly, I'm having a hard time getting any real critiques. I need people to tell me what sucks so I can make the pack as good as it can be.
I also need something as simple as cool ideas!
Gold/iron/diamond block? I have no clue what to make them, other than boring hunks of their prospective materials.
Anyone got an idea? Share it! Especially when it comes to the items!
Speaking of feedback, I posted this in the TAU thread, but I'm posting it here too (such is the will of Doom!):
Okay, I've got a few textures that I really need some feedback on.
Ice, Water, and Lava.
I think I need to make enlarge the water texture, so the details are larger.
I also have No clue as to how I'm going to animate it; But at the very least, the still water needs an animation.
The lava, I think, turned out well. I just, again, have no idea as to animations.
I could maybe add a heat-wiggle deformation to the still lava and leave the flowing alone (as it looks cool as it is).
Any ideas?
Now here's something interesting that I never payed much attention too... The ice blocks allow partial transparency, allowing for cool effects like the one shown above.
In the image, my ice texture is actually almost pure white, with most of the work done in the alpha channel.
All that blue coloring is coming from the water below it.
Not sure if people have played around with this much yet, but you can get some awesome effects with a simple alpha.
Also, does anyone know whether or not it's now possible (thanks to MCpatcher/optifine) to have partial transparency with all the terrain blocks?
The "items" in the terrain (like the torch and mushrooms) seems to have issues with it, but when I accidentally released my textures with the terrain at only 90% opacity, I had people telling me they had translucent grass and such...?
Makes me wonder if we now have the ability to make some awesome windows/iron bars/ etc...?
I'm gonna have to play around with it and see.

lookin great.... maybe my only quip is the cobblestone but anther than that everything rocks!!
ice, water and lava lookn great so far! i was thinking for ythe gold and diamond blocks they should glint every so often... the gold should be stacks of bullion, the diamondshould be like yr ice but more fragmented and transperant and refined. iron you should make like into iron plates with marks on them simialer to balea tp. that said anything you do will shorely impress me

Good ideas, all!
Unfortunately, as it turns out, the Ice is basically the only block with semi-transparency, so the diamond won't work. But I'll definitely keep the others in mind when I get around to those blocks.
Ice looks AMAZING =3
Lava looks neat and lava'ish but yea, I haven't seen it flowing yet so I cant say if it's good or not.
Most texture packs have "slowish" lava animations and it looks really odd, hopefully yours will have a much faster flow to it.
Anyway, everything it looking pretty great so far =3
Cheers
I'll try and throw together a quick little video showing the moving lava and water.
I haven't done any animations for the lava yet, but I did get the still water animated.
In the meantime, here's some screens of the new blocks:
Obsidian (will probably get replaced over time)
Wools (Again, probably will be replaced. but I need something for them now)
"skullstone" End blocks, and the useless stone thing they added in 1.2.4
Various planks, pumpkins, sponge, ice, and furnaces.
Good ideas, all!

love the pumpkins and the end stone definatly. the obsidian looks good but could be darker as that guy says. wooden planks and wool and sponnge look really good to.
i think this pack is awesome sofar!!..... and the cremator... love it!
I personally have to disagree with the above user, with regard to the wool.
The wool really doesn't look great. Personally, I wouldn't go all out with detail on it.
The way it is, it seems that there are some tiling issues, i'd prefer a border of some sort to
eleviate this problem from occurring.
The rest of the texture look nice, on the other-hand.
The ice for one is fantastic. Probably the best ice texture i've seen on the forums. Nice catch
with partial transparency being plausible.

He did say he was probably going to replace the wool. So yay you!
Looks great! Keep going!
Personally i think the obsidian should be darker.
Other than that, they all look great. Is that bedrock in the first picture as well? or is it cobble/regular stone?
It shall be done!
To be honest though, the obsidian is probably just a placeholder. I have to wait for my regular server to come back online, so can actually see how it looks as end-pillars. It'll probably look crappy, with the end blocks beine a recolored version of the same texture; but you never know.

Agreed. The current wool will be replaced, I'm just not sure if it'll be before the next release. At the very least, I'll try to get rid of the thick outlines on it, so it just looks like painted sheep-fur.
For a future set of wools, what would you think of something along the lines of a sort of frankensteiny, patchwork cloth block, with lots of stitches? I'd try to avoid doing square borders on wool, as it's used by a lot of people for large flat surfaces, and border can break down the look of pixel art and such... but I don't think random lines of stitching wouldn't have this problem, and I don't think it's been done yet.
