one of the best texture packs I've seen, but it would lag like hell on my computer. If you could make a 64x version I could probably use it.
Honestly, I'd say give it a try before you worry about lag.
Even with dozens of hostile mobs on screen, their textures use such a tiny percentage of Minecraft's resources, you shouldn't have any noticeable lag. Even on most crap computers (like mine).
I'm going to have nightmares of those ghasts..........

I'm still working on the Spiders (which, as I've mentioned before, are a much bigger pain in the ass than they should be), so they should be out pretty soon!
In the meantime, I've been trying to come up with some concepts for the Endermen.
Originally, I was thinking of doing them as a kind of random naked spooky creatures, but the more I doddle them, the more I think doing them as Slender Men would be the best idea:

Those are...****ING AWESOME!!!
However, I do prefer the one on the right.
I definitely think something closer to the one on the right. There should be an extra-terrestrial quality to them, not just a "monster." Something like the classic lanky, gray skinned aliensperhaps.

I think the preview images are using placeholder graphics (hence why they look like black cubes instead of having texture to them). So no idea if they will stay that shape or even use a dark texture similar to the preview image. If they do stay super similar, then I believe you are right on track.

I'm also really looking forward to your spider mob and the passive mobs as well. Is
there an expected date of release?
Back to the skins though, do you know the method of getting mods like the one
mentioned in your "skin post", to work on macintosh computers?
If so, by all means i'm interested in having access to these HD skins.

He's said elsewhere in the thread it's a custom mix & match pack, but some of the main parts are from the Windwaker pack.
thanks ;D
I wish I didnt have a crappy computer!
EDIT: Oh, and I should say I fully support the SlenderMan model on the right. Just seems appropriate.
